We are supposed to get this duck mount! I cant believe it coz it was just April Fool! Most people I talked with dont understand why we are getting carpet mount! I got it today but, give us duck mount instead of carpet mount! Come on, Blizzard!

You mean like the trading post (and I also assume the TCG) turtles? Fast in water but absolutely no effect on land? I’d hope not. Those are terrible, and completely redundant since the otters exist. Which is a shame. I was very excited to get my green trading post turtle months back, only to be super disappointed when I found out it serves no purpose.

There are mounts that are fast on water? Must look into that…
Apart from the water-only mounts (sea horses, Darkmoon stingray, etc.) there are also ground mounts with increased swimming speed. I only know of the otters from current expansion but I assume there are more. The otters are literally the best ground mount as you lose no speed when you go from traversing land to water.

the turtle mount that was or is in trading post also gives increased swimming speed i think .

A google is showing Otto as a secret event type mount, only one of those I’ve done is the Legion fathom dweller one.
Not at computer currently, but this is one example. My bad for not remembering the Warcraft name “ottuk”. You get one for free from Iskaara rep, which is very easy to farm by just doing the soup event when it’s up.

Yep there WERE the water walking fly’s from MoP. Used to go fast on water and same speed on land. Then for some stupid reason they removed the water walking ability.

They removed it because you can add it to any mount with the “Mount equipment” slot.
