So to catch your point straight. I said considering we pay sub to make the best and most out of the game possible. Your reply is that Sub can be paid for gold and your point is therefore what? Sub money is valueless and we shouldn’t expect the best and most for it? This is how you justify less game to please player who play less for the same price?
Cause it kinda sounds like thats what you imply. Also outright saying that anyone who pays a sub are a moron ontop with their heads not screwed on. Good look
the gold / time invested fallacy you mentioned is what people are moaning about lack of content,
they pay , so they demand content. thats your premise?
ive gave you a probable solution to the gold/time investment and you are dismissing it,
the lack of content could be filled with a couple of days of gold farming , to justify the lack of play time you would otherwise moan about not having content to play
so yes, people to think/act Smarter and instead of demanding pressures on development teams, fix the solution to their own problems, make the game work for you.
im implying its wise to earn your own gold, you never have to spend a dime on a sub
Its my personal premise yes. But people who play less also pays the same sub and price as i do. But yes
I am not dismissing it. I thank you for the examples. But its about the point your making against mine. Your admiting there is a lack of content and you offer things to make up for it that are good. But I still think we shouldn’t settle for less content…I just dont think thats a good thing. Thats just my own opinion. For all the reasons above
Because it is a part of major content and you are so used to it that you forget that it’s there.
Like damn dude. You need to be REALLY blind to see your growing expectations.
“Oh, every patch adds a Raid and some content. Next patch should add all the former + more.”
“Oh, this patch has a raid, more content and more features, next patch should have even more”
“Oh, this patch has so much stuff, but all of it is kinda bland. Blizzard should put more effort in this”
“Oh, this patch has so much stuff to do. Shame that all feels boring”…
You do realize that demanding more doesn’t equal better patches/content, right?
The Teams at Blizzard were actually REDUCED last year. The 100 people hired aside and not all of them design dungeons (maybe like 5 people at best).
People complained that the Catalyst is being too long out of reach last season. Blizzard listened, making more content accessible to lesser geared players because they can progress their power faster. Really, start thinking around corners, not just see them.
Oh so it must be tied to a class that it counts as “actual content” for you? Tells a lot about your spoonfed expectations.
i think those developement resources are being funnelled into this new endgame pillar called " delves" coming soon
i would argue that while we are " coping with lack of content " at the moment and filling it with things like gold farming
the development team are fully aware of what this game lacks in content
but when gold and a sub is not an issue , little things like lack of content doesnt bother me personally, i can invest my otherwise spent time in other games
but i am flabbergasted how many players dont have at least 1 million in their bags/ bank alts from general activities or Auction house use ( even offline it continues to sell for you , 48 hour postings on the auctions )
From both an emotional and objective PoV I think ED is miles better than Korthia.
Korthia was just chores³ without any mattering story parts. It was basically just a chore-filler with little connection to the already useless story of SL.
Oh, so if a game isn’t “crammed up with players to the brim” it is “doing bad” and the “patch is bad”, eh?
It isn’t like half the community asked for the PAST 2,5 YEARS to have LESS CHORES in this game so they could play more how they like and when they like. This is the result and now that it is here, some of you don’t like it?
Allot of people putting allot of hope into Delves. But I don’t know how Endgame pillar it ends up being yet to have an opinion about it.
Ive always payed for sub I never got into the new ways of making gold either. Ive been old school gathering farming and selling loot on ah. Always seemed like I needed allot of gold to start making gold with professions.
But even if I did all this. Should i just stop subbing then. Start farming gold instead and lower my expectations?
In the end players who like allot to play, and players who have less time to play pay the same sub. it shouldn’t one or the other. If balance is possible
With 10.2 being the last raid, DF has the least amount of bosses out of most of not all expansions. 10.2 is a MAJOR patch, of course it has a raid it ALWAYS had them with maybe Vanilla being the exception. The team is the biggest ever while the content certainly isnt. This isnt about unrealistic expectations. We already get 1 raid less than we should in DF and will get another recycled Fated garbage.
This isnt content. They change a few numbers, work load of 15 minutes.
Bloodelfs got 3 hairstyles and that was it. Big patch feature. Its also gameplay features/content im talking mainly about. Not the art or the music. Its just sad that such a cool zone/patch thematically and quality wise (art) has so little to do because again the gameplay/content pipeline of this team is terrible.
The Zone is mainly there for the Open World players that enjoy a change of environment, stories, World Quests and Open World activities. In other words, the casuals
People like me, that prefer instanced content like Mythic+ won’t be in that zone around long anyways.
People that love to raid, won’t be in that zone long anyways. They will raid with their XY amount of Alts.
People that love to play instanced PvP won’t be in that zone long anyways. They will play BGs, Arena, Brawls, etc. all the time.
Only exception might be the Warmode Players… And those were always low on some realms in numbers.
i think we reached the activision mode in this game. do the same over and over. remember vass word in far cry 3. doing the exact same thing over and over is insanity. they dont even try anymore to hide it somehow. its so obvious what they want with this patch and the 90$/patch
i give the zone 1 more week until its empty
I played M+ and PvP mainly and I still loved the open world. In fact without it having any reason for me to engage with it, it now makes doing M+ feel more empty and pointless than ever.
The open world kept the illusion of this game being an MMORPG alive, now that the open world is meaningless the illusion is shattered and it just feels like I am playing a (bad) lobby game.
Was also a great way to have something to do between M+ runs or PvP. Or doing it to unwind whilst progressing my char after said activities.
Blizzard never understood how important the open world was, and the result is this expansion where Blizzard have had nothing but disdain for open world players.
Let them eat crappy transmog and mounts - Marie-Antoinette
The only palpable solution for solo open world players is providing better alternative apart from world quests, no amount of new boring grindfest that exists as a rope that binds m+ and raid players for solemn duty of logging each day to do chores will make open world good
