Weapon Enchants

Hello. I am fairly new to rogues in BFA and I was wondering what weapon enchants I should get for pvp.

Most of the guides say quick navi + versatile navi. I’ve also checked some high ranked rogues and most of them are doing it, but some are using force multiplier. I’ve even seen someone using galeforce in a battleground.

Force multiplier isnt on the guides but it increases our agility and highest secondary stat. It sounds good.

A considerable of our damage comes from our auto attacks so I thought galeforce would be good too. But maybe it isnt as good in pvp as its in pve because we arent using deadly poison to enhance our autoattack damage. Is that it?

Can you tell me your opinions? Thanks!

force is more consistent. it has high uptime on one single proc. navigations are more highrolly, they give anywhere from 50 to 600 stats while they’re up.

if you highroll with nav you’re happy, but a lot of the time the buff it’s giving will just be worse than what force gives.

in pvp, particularly as a rogue, when you do damage is important. if you get a proc when you’re not bursting, it’s not that useful, and you often can’t afford to play around procs because there’s so many other factors that make you do things at certain times.

there’s also so ridiculously many procs in bfa that weapon enchants come pretty far down the list. if you start trying to mix in your partner’s procs into this too, it just becomes totally ridiculous.

you can play around procs a little bit, but for the most part you just let them do their thing and hope for the best. because you’re not playing around it so much, force is more likely to have a stronger buff up while you’re bursting.

this is a bigger factor for sub than it is for assa because sub is completely uninterested in what damage it does outside of bursting, whereas assa can apply pressure. so when your 600 stat proc happens at a bad time as assa, it’s still useful.

auto attacks are slow, consistent damage. rogues kill with burst, and you want things that will make your burst stronger. this is especially true for sub, but it’s pretty accurate for assa as well.

in short, if you’re assa i think either setup is fine, and if you’re sub i’d use force.

Thank you mate.

I think people are taking quick navigation in PvP for more tentacle procs. I’d bet anyone with quick nav has double carapace daggers. Wouldn’t surprise me if people are even using vita or something along with drest for the same reason.

So if the above is true, play force if you don’t have good corruptions based on haste and take quick if you do. I was planning to swap to quick once I got carapace daggers but alas, I haven’t got them yet

Does mind flay from weapons proc more often than mind flay on the gear though?

No its based on haste and some ppm afaik. The carapace are just guaranteed tentacles.

yeah i have a feeling that they’re not really based on RPPM, they just have a chance to proc on any attack. so auto attacks, abilities, dot ticks etc. i’ve read that each tick of blade dance has an individual chance to proc tentacle, so it’s like 5 in 1 in terms of chances.

for example, yesterday against an splay they procced a tentacle, i killed it, instantly two more spawned, i killed them, and then another spawned. i think that’s because of all the spriest dots.

very wonky system if that’s how it works.

Yeah I think it is something like that also, which is why i think people are starting to pick up more haste enchants/triinkets. Have also faced some comps with just endless tentacle spawns.
