Weapons of Conquest is a bit f***ed now

I think there’s been a bit of a mess up with the Weapons of Conquest quest. Blizz have now changed it be an achievement that will give you 2x weapon tokens at 2500conq earned. This is slightly unfair to a lot of players who used their emblems on epic crafted weapons as the rewarded weapons from the quest were not bis for their spec, meaning they now could have had a bis weapon for free and spent the emblems elsewhere. This puts a lot of players behind others in gearing, especially if they have purchased 10x emblems to create a two-handed weapon, when they could have waited to craft 2x armour and used the tokens for their desired weapon.

Blizzard should implement a one-time refund system that will give back the emblems of crafted weapons for re-use.

the crafted wep is still better… the embellishment is OP

True, but you could make do without it until you’re fully geared.

they will still need to craft it though, and that still puts them on the same level as us

getting a headstart early season is way better than waiting around

the weapon is useles tbh.

tbf they took our Vault away just to give us extra 1 crafted (or 2 if its minor item like ring, necklace, etc) and some mediocre weapon that ill never use because of embelishments.
Another thing is - this weapon is only slightly better than what u get right now with 6k honor + crafting.
To me this quest/achievement never existed- glad that ill get some random appearance though.

The embellishment never was worth the lose of nearly 2k conquest when you knew from day 1 that you were getting free weapons in week 3.

Since conquest will be uncapped at week 11 actually the people who didn’t craft the embellishment and took replacements (+vers embelishment or elemental lens) are literally about as equal or even ahead as people who crafted the weapon, considering you compare not only with the embellishments at hand you also compare the 2k conquest lead everyone has who didnt take the dumb decision to craft the weapon and waste the heraldrys.
And at week 11 those who crafted the weapon are still not in full gear and those who didnt are in full gear at week 11. The people who didnt craft, can craft the weapon with the embellishment and the people who did craft the weapon first week still have to complete their set of gear.

So everyone who tried to copy a streamer thinking this was the smart move yeah you got fk*** at least for another 8 weeks next time think for yourself.

You knew about that quest since day 1 of the season and yet you cry about it?
There are people that Went for crafted + embolishment weapon and there are that Went for some other crafted pvp items.

I agree 100% as i am one of those people who decided to craft the BiS wep early.
Yeah basically we’re gonna be flat -1750 conquest points behind now.

That would partially fix the issue but nobody will give me back my 100k gold which i invested into this wep
Unless i got the tokens back and kept the weapon at the same time.

The problem is that the crafted weapon was BiS so investing into it early would also save us from grinding it later on as the one from quest wasnt BiS.
Now with the upcoming change if someone has waited for the quest, he’s gonna get the best of both which puts all of early crafters including myself at a disadvantage. If i knew it’d be like that - i’d obviously wait.

you’re playing a hunter… how is the embellishment op to you

every secondary stat is good for hunter. even crit, so its insanely good
we have crit multipliers and haste and mastery is always good

DAMN and still i am forced on my lock to use a staff… because the offhands have trash stats nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Generally it doesn’t even really matter.

The people who actually did something that stupid have nothing to worry about

It’s the start of the season, people think it matters to be full turbo bis geared but in reality it doesn’t cause MMR is capped in most brackets and in Blitz, where it isn’t, your gear matters even less

So yeah, stop sweating so hard, you ain’t going to lose a bg or arena because you are doing 2% less dmg

Why should you get reimbursement? Just because you built yourself a weapon outside of the quest doesn’t mean you get something back because you don’t need the achievement reward.
In neither content it works like this.

As an alternative you could also grind the full conquest for the weapons on top…

The crit modifiers are cooked to hell, crit is nerfed in pvp by 50 % and you’re losing so much damage and relying on RNG that you’re gimping your entire rotation, but sure

I’d normally agree but the issue is when there are changes mid-season. Many of us made the decision because we knew quest wep will not be BiS, so crafting it early would save us time grinding it later on and now after the changes it is BiS and after we made the decision.

So it it’d be only logic to somehow recompensate us for the Blizzard’s post-factum mistakes/changes.

What you’re saying is basically that (at least that’s how i interpret it) its our fault that we didnt predict Blizzard to change things up mid-season, like how were we supposed to do that?

Ofc i realize its not that big of a deal and i’ll live with it but its a frustrating experience nontheless.

They should just make a one-time purchase bag of conquest that gives you 875 conquest for 1 token. I crafted weapon on my characters (hunter, shaman) those are the main one I play, 2 set pcs behind a reroll might not be a bad idea

I was actually wrong, i thought the tokens will work like Heraldies i.e you’ll be able to CRAFT the weapon you want, choosing the stats you want with the nerub embelishment etc. Turns out i was wrong, you can only exchange them for weapons so you’ll still miss the embelishment.
Not gonna lie that’ll make me sleep a little better at night knowing most people will still have to grind the conq points when they turn the cap off lol

You decided to craft a weapon week 1, just take responsibility for your choice and stop complaining this was the less efficient road conquest wise -_-
