Weekly chest for open world play šŸ˜Ž

Something to do with achievements perhaps.
I like the idea in general as it’s my sort of content too, though it would mean a lot of thought as to how many of what you have to do. Enough to make it a challenge.

That is already 5 ilvl higher than normal raiding gear. While the mentioned activities are much easier than LFR.

I like the idea that ā€œopen worldā€ content players would get something, but is it realy neccesary? With all welfare gear there is thrown at us, from WFs, emisaries, weekly events and what not, would those 5 ilvl make any difference at all? We can pretty much kill world bosses with fresh alts, hell i could kill most of them solo if it didnt took me ages.

Dont get me wrong, its not that i wont support it or something, i just dont see it happening cuz it will have no impact, or very little.

Add weekly forums posts/gifs / flags chest to the list pls

It will have a lot of impact for those who don’t do instanced content through anxiety. Something to look forward to every week, something they feel they’ve worked towards.

Then either normal raid gear is too low or the chest requirements for the new open world chest thing is too low…
What if… win 50 pet battles in shadowlands gave you one choice… that will take a lot of time for most players… but for open world people it would be ok…
maybe it only worked in wpvp… so… more people in wpvp… if you didn’t do wpvp it would be 75 wins… or something like that… it could work… and the effort and hours put in would be the same I think

When u look at it that way, then yes, but then again, +5 ilvl in top of emisary thats normal raid (?) or more quality, im not saing its super hard to beat it, but seems kinda awkward to get such reward for opening chests or crafting items… This will imo bring more trouble than it will solve

Why do you need mystic gear when you can and have to clear a few bosses atleast in the last teir gear?

Seems kinda odd question to ask, progression isn’t just a raid thing killing mobs faster in that open world is a nice thing to be able to do…

With the level and Ilvl squish, the difference between WQ ilvl, normal raid ilvl and HC raid ilvl will be even lower than it is now, so I think it is fairly impossible to find any number between those.

Well this one is a fundamental question. Should invested time yield better ilvl gear? I think only difficulty should matter, not the time.

Totally agree… this is my main. I would have been ilvl 453 instead of 448 with that system. Not a huge difference, but it would have been fun to be part of, and the people in my community, who is like me, we would have been talking about this chest and all that… would have been fun

I have an idea. Let it have a chance to drop a token that grants you instant TL3:)

Are open-world WQ players hurting you?

The problem is that WQ drops higher Ilvl stuff than a mythic dungeon, invalidating everything.

u skin 500 mods in all 4 zones and craft full set of 165 and go stright in to mystic ?

This made me laugh

Well. I gave you a like for your reply. It is constructive, even if we disagree
I think invested time should award better gear… I have invested alot of time in ESO… im almost grand master crafter and I can now make really good gear for my self. I can also sell it ofcause. That has taken many many many months of hard work to do for me… and now I get the reward. The open world is easier for me to move around in, because aggro range is less and mobs die more quickly. In instances though… I would die imediatly… and yes… have tried it… the gear I craft works really good in the open world but not in dungeons… (i can craft good dungeon gear aswell… I know…)
That would be nice in wow as well… but I think the change would be too difficult for blizzard to make, and that is why I support this proposal
And again… it would not hurt anybody who do hard content… it would make people who only do open world content stronger than people who doesn’t do anything at all

Why are you so concerned about this?

The problem is still the question of ilvl. I’m fairly sure that you want the chest to have a better reward than WQs, but WQs are already normal raid level gear. If the chest would give anything higher it would be HC entry gear.

The game does not need more free gear as it has been a problem for at least two expansions.

A salution would be to lower the ilvl of WQs, but that would only make progression for people with similar intrest to yours much slower.

Because handling out free gear was never healthy for the endgame scene.

That’s not completely true for Shadowlands, at least; not at first. You upgrade the ilvl of WQ rewards through your covenant and its anima system. In other words; you work for it. So what’s the problem?
