The weekly quest is to do Rookery. But that dungeon is not in the pool, meaning we can’t do it on mythic or heroic…
So are Blizz telling us that the starter dungeon for TWW, that you can do at level 70 is appropriate end game level 80 content? That we are supposed to do it on normal difficulty?
This whole situation is getting ridiculous.
Give us all the dungeons on mythic and hc already. Stop trying to cram old content down our gullets.
If you wanna add in some old dungeons in s2 and s3, fine. I could accept that. But with 50% of the current available hc and mythic dungeons being old content that most people are done with years ago, it just makes no sense. Borderline scam this is…
I’m not logged in yet anymore but Rookery is not in the dungeon pool of heroic?
Can you make a screenshot from your dungeon finder?
I mean it’s just for the weekly rep quest, so I would just que specific for it on normal and help some levelling people meanwhile!
Takes 10 min max and you can run your mythics etc again afterwards, can’t understand the problem abt it atm, sorry.
Weekly Dungeon quest is a carrot for casual scrubs like me so we actually run them and maybe get hooked. It’s the TWW equivalent of that weekly kill 25 enemy players warmode quest Alliance got in BfA. Only less fun, and with worse rewards.
My point is that when they have locked half the dungeons in the expac from hc and mythic, forcing us to slog though old content instead, adding a weekly quest to do one of the locked dungeons is just adding insult to injury, so to speak.
I don’t understand why they insist on trying to force people to play the way they want, instead of making all content available and letting people play what they like…
i was puzzled too, yesterday. since i never do M i wanted to try heroic and when i never seen it in the LF tool i was astonished. anyway. 10 mins and is gone.
Blizzard adds a weekly quest which is part od the endgame peogression loop for content that is NOT a part od the endgame progression loop since it’s NOT a part of this Season.
It can be done in 10 minutes.
What is the rationale behind adding a weekly quest to do a dungeon that is NOT a part od this Season’s roster?
Is there any rationale for this choice which must have been made and approved by someone at the company?
WoW developer team has a history of very bad decisions and even worse communication. DF was a good expansion and with it, Blizzard has regained minimal amount of trust. Such baffling actions by Blizzard erode my trust (which is not big to begin with) towards their dev and management team.
I was dissappointed as well to not be able to at least run it on heroic difficulty.
It’s a missed opportunity because the quests send people like us (social scrubs) into dungeons, and gives a chance to get a HC group together and maybe snatch a piece of loot that can be upgrade.
Nope, now we just run it on normal/followers and hand in question.
missed opportunity
Somehow, in your wording I find an underlying annoyance that’s not completely WoW’s fault. I mean, nobody is “forcing” you. Don’t want that 1500 rep (or whatever it was)? Skip it. Slogging through old content, I mean, well, if you don’t see the joy in doing the content, then don’t.
It’s just a design-choice. I guess there’s some reason for it. I mean, if they always do what the gamers ask for, then we’d be playing My Little Pony with Dragons flying over our heads dropping Legendaries (exaggerated, but yeah).
They can’t please us all. They shouldn’t even try to.
And don’t get me wrong, I too was a bit disappointed with the selection of dungeons. But eh, with a group of friends any content can be enjoyable. I mean, we’ve been running the same battlegrounds for 20 years (AB, WSG, AV) and we can still find joy in doing so. Why would dungeons be an exception? (to sneakily reverse the matter)
To make a long story short; find the joy in things to do, or do something else.
It might also be that by keeping these dungeons current by doing the quest, they are helping players maintain knowledge of them, ready for when they rotate the dungeons next season.
Helping other players through a normal is a nice thing and doesn’t take more than 10 minutes, plus you get rewarded for finishing the quest with some xp… win win for everyone involved.
