Hello! I’ve recently resubbed to the game for like 2 days or so… i’m having some random FPS drops from 100~ to 0… game gets stuck for 3 seconds or so, then goes back to normal.
My setup:
i7 7700k
GTX 1080ti
Windows 10
if you use any addons and you come back to the game dont forget update your addons , also check in system if you have chose your GPU and not the Auto mode
I have the same issue, I’m blaming DX12. Lots of others are having these random freezes as well, most noticeable when switching zones or loading new areas. For me my entire machine freezes (except sound) at those moments as well.
I think your issue is mainly addons that are not updated, but check your power settings and have everything in max performance mode instead of power saving.
Maybe some BIOS settings with power saving on cpu as well? DOnt know how intels work but AMD has such silly stuff and i personally have them off

As others have already mentioned, addons can cause some strange issues at times. It is the first step listed in the World of Warcraft Performance Issues Support article as well, so please do clear your UI (addons) fully and retest. If that does not improve things for you, go through the remaining steps of that article thoroughly.
