Weird hearthstone locations

Have you ever put your hearthstone location to a nunusual place and what was the reason?

By unusual I mean all the inns that are not like main hubs for that or past expansions (Stormwind, Orgrimar, Dalaran etc.), but just like some random villages or questing hubs.

I personally never did that so that why I am asking this question.

My mage’s used to be set at halfhill so i could access their farm.

They had a teleport to the Vale, so no reason to set it there.

I like to keep my allied races characters’ original hearthstone location. You can’t get them back later, and they’re actually conveniently placed.

Had my HS all over Northrend back in Wotlk as I did the grind for reps.

I used to have my HS in Kharanos in Classic, because I had incredible lag in Ironforge. Couldn’t even enter Stormwind because I lagged out, and Darnassus was too far away from everything. Kharanos was convenient.

In WotLK, I had my HS somewhere in Storm Peaks (I forgot where), so I could get to Sons of Hodir more easily. That was a nice place for world pvp.

I also place my HS to the nearest Inn when leveling, so until I hit max level, my HS is all over the place, changing every time I move to the next quest hub.

I played a Tauren warrior in vanilla and always had my hearthstone set to Bloodhoof Village because that was our main meeting point to chill and stuff with my friends.

We’d duel and chat nonsense while some of us fished near Stonebull Lake.

Used to have mine set in an underwater cave in Vashj’ir when Poseidus was very valuable and rare, on a mage so I didn’t really lose out thanks to portals.

Got it twice eventually too!

I hsve my HS set to Stranglethorn vale on all my 30 horde toons that can use a 1 handed sword.

With a majority of my alts I have their hearthstone set in Veil Terokk, Spires of Arak. Main reason being that I find that zone as a gold mine for WoD profession materials and it’s closest Skyreach, which is my go-to dungeon for if I need some quick gold. Plus I really enjoy the music and ambiance of that zone.

At the launch of BfA the lag was so incredible in Boralus, had to place my HS to the nearest village outside of it, still handy. Also Goldshire has been a favourite for some levelling characters, during darkmoon faire.

Goldshire counts as main hub? Right?

I have my Hearthstone at warbeast kraal. I think it fits my Warrior. Had that as hs place since start of bfa.

Light’s Hope Chapel, because that’s the place which takes me the longest to get to. Thanks for removing my Death Gate to the old Acherus Blizzard. /s

After I get the Stratholme teleport from pet battles (ew), I can just bind the HS to my farm at Halfhill, because it’s the most wholesome place in the game.

Used to do it wherever I was questing, but I think the winner on my account is setting it to broken isles dalaran so I didn’t have to use the special hearthstone (Which was a terrible idea imo)

I usually just set it in the area I quest in.

But sometimes I like an area so much my character “lives” there for a while.
But a lot of times, I do it because the area is remote and my computer can start the game up faster than if I was placed in the larger, more populated areas

One of my goblins was for a year placed in Fuselight By The Sea… I hearthstoned to the location to log out.
This is the dream place for a goblin, with pretty sea view and a lot of explosive sheeps

Moothilda used to be either heartstoned to Thunder Bluff or I logged out at the race track.
I alway liked the racetrack, and Thunder Buff has never been full of players, so the lag thet used to be in places like Orgrimmar, shattrah or Dalaren wasn’t there, making it easy to start again.

I have for a long period of time placed my night elf druid in Moonglade.
It’s a nice tranquill place, and very druidty - it just felt like the right place to set the stone.
Later it was the horse estate in Tiragarde Sound
It was a pretty area, and going out from that place didn’t take long
