I have noticed, I can’t name any character in a certen way, eg. I wanted this one to be MrWasabi, yet game doesn’t allow to do so. Just Wasabi is fine, but anything that starts with mr is not allowed. Even things like Mrgeorge for example? Has anyone got idea what is the reason for it?
“Mr” is a title and titles are not permitted in the naming policy.
Edit: Well it used to be in the naming policy but it isn’t anymore.
I just went through naming policy and there’s nothing that says ‘mr’ can’t be used as part of the name. The only two word name policy applies to rp realms, but normal ones are not under this policy. I know it because one of my toon’s name is Eggsandwich which is 2 word name and had no problem with it whatsoever.
Titles were forbidden previously, so maybe they just won’t let you make the name in the first place now.
I agree, I could not find it either, but it certainly WAS there. Any title such as Mr, Mrs, Lord, King etc would not be allowed. Either this is inadvertantly missing from the updated support article, or it is no longer restricted but the game is still blocking it. I tried to make a pheonix pet name of MrBurns but it was denied, thats when I found it in the policy but that was a few years ago.
It’s most certainly the reason you cant use Mr, but whether that is still intended I cannot say.
I think the ban is still in the code but has been taken out of the ToU.
Says something about Blizzard though.
