I wouldn’t even think about this if it had only been a strange one time occurrence, but it has happened to me for the third time now, so I would like to ask if anyone else has experience this.
A group of four players (1 healer + 3 damage dealers) queues into a timewalking dungeon, but when they enter, they just stand at the beginning and start to make weird remarks towards the tank. In my experience it has always been four female Blood Elves doing it, so it might have been the same people every time.
When the tank tries to start progressing the dungeon, they remove him from the group, giving him a 30 minute deserter debuff. After that they whisper the tank to make fun of his forced 30 minute break.
Is it a bannable offense worth reporting, or will nothing happen to them anyway?
Never seen that happen, but pretty sure that’s a reportable offense, because EVERYTHING you say ingame is logged by Blizzard (I’ve asked for my data under GDPR, they see EVERYTHING).
So if you report them, then theoretically the case should get reviewed and punishment put in place as the chat would reveal their behavior.
Question will be whether reporting leads to something.

You may report them for it. As they’re harassing you in chat.
Using VTK however for any reason is not against the rules so nothing would come from that specific part, but the chatting could be sufficient proof for a little visit to the Blue Chamber.

Everyone just resigned rules to compel you to being nice to each other in the game. It was Blizzard’s way of adding a subjective view regarding how you interact in the game. That is the angle I would push to get some sort of resolve.
Definitely worth reporting, as a general rule when in doubt report, as it is not our job as players to moderate the game, only to draw attention to behavior we consider suspicious.
Whether the combination of the chatlogs and Votekick is sanctoionable is Blizzard´s decision., but the votekick regardless of reason has been confirmed numerous times to not a bannable offense in and of itself.
But, much like the flood of leavers in M+ earlier this season that took what felt to many like forever to get sanctioned, if nobody reports it, be it because they think it´s pointless or whatever other reason, then how are Blizzard supposed to know it´s happening and consider changing the rules and doling out warnings and suspensions?
