Title says it all.
Ratchet and Booty Bay guards only hit Alliance players. Horde attack you, Guards do nothing, you hitr them back? Gang ravaged by 10 guards.
It’s been an entire phase and this garbage was reported day 1. It still has not been fixed.
Also, still unfixed, players standing in safe spots to avoid PvP retirbutions. Standing on roofs to avoid guards, running into walls to abuse LoS to sit and drink/Be unattackable whilst regenerating. It’s all been reported endlessly, it’s all been pointed out endlessly. There are literally streams of players doing “World PvP”… But I have to ask, is it really PvP if one side can’t attack without getting brutalised by guards where as one side is invisible/immune/Favoured by those same guards?
The towns are meant to be neutral. Where is the neutrality? Either get rid of the guards completely or make them attack the aggressor, not the retaliator. It was old 2 months ago, it’s pathetic to still be an issue.

I play Alliance, I killed a Horde in Ratchet and no guards aggro’d me.
I thought maybe it was because I’m on a PVE realm?
Unfair world pvp is quintessentially classic. Whether you’re fighting several mobs already, low on health and mana, getting dogpiled by a group of enemies or as you mention safespotting: the aggressor only engaging in battle if victory is a certainty is at the core of the vanilla experience.
It’s not “unfair” , it’s uncoded.
It’s not intentionally this way, they just overlooked it going into SoD for whatever reason and are too lazy to fix it.
The guards are meant to attack an aggressor. Currently, they don’t. They attack Alliance only, Horde are immune. It’s not intended that way, it’s not “Unfair PvP in classic is part of the game”… It’s something that should be fixed before release, that never was.
You can land/get off the boat in Ratchet, be feared by a horde priest immediately, and then such die to guards. Never even targetting an enemy. The priest will be untouched, unaggro’d… However you want to say it.
You can land, be sapped by a rogue/shot by a hunter pet, and if you respond, the guards will attack you, not the hunter, not the pet, not the rogue.

While ur faction sits around guards in rachet all day attacking allys
horde are no better.
Theres barely any guards in ratchet that could even attack anyone.
The one close to the flypoint is too far away to even see any kind of pvp.
The one at the rune house does attack people engaged in pvp but for some reason only those that stand outside the house sometimes even if said person is not even attacking the person standing inside the house.
The only usefull guards are the ones at the dock and the other 2 outside ratchet.
So no, the reason you think that horde does not get attacked is that simply the placement of the guards is terrible and anyone who knows where the guards are and knows the aggro range can simply abuse them.

Not the OPs fault that you can abuse aggro radiuses of the guards and even aggro them on people that you attack no? ^^
How come did I get killed as horde by guards in Ratchet? Are undead less horde?
Guards work, OP just has no idea or wants to spread lies for whatever reason
I mean I got friendly on my alliance alt with Rachet and the guards help me when I’m near em

They dont Attack them because they are smart and are Not in Aggro range of the guards when attacking you. But alliance is Always stupid and attacks near guards😂
