You should probably spend more time playing the game instead of hanging around on the forums reading all the doom and gloom. Misery loves company and it has the power to infect those around it.
Sums it up well. I miss visions, Torghast (which I’ve always liked). M+ is boring, raiding is ok but heroic is beyond my reach now (done normal so ‘done’).
I’m afraid to say after 7 really good years and 1000s of hours played the game is ‘boring’ right now for me.
I’ll be taking a break for a while I think. Season 28 of D3 will occupy me for a few weeks (only do seasonal journey) maybe a break is what I need.
Sounds like someone is ready to try something different.
Remember to send me your gold on the way out.
What did Legion have at this stage of the expansion life-cycle?
AP farm.
Sumarar - heavily time / rep gated.
Daily emisaries and World Quests. meh.
Paragn chests if you could tolerant an infinite rep grind. I couldn’t.
Mission Table with its followers to recruit and level. meh.
Some Dungeons and a raid. not for me.
Profession Quests, gated by recipes / ranks in PVP, Dungeons or by expensive materials.
Legendary acquisition - frustratingly RNG imba hellscape for a long time.
Legion Invasions, Pathfinder, Class Mounts, Broken Shore, Argus, Allied Races all came later.
Legion had a lot of content by the end and a lot of it was good for alts, Order Hall stories, Artifact acquisitiion, Class Mounts and fast leveli ng with invasions.
I think DF has more to do at this stage than Legion did. And we’re supposed to be getting more patches more quickly than in Legion (let’s see if they manage it).
Maybe it was just may stage with the game at that point for it ‘felt’ to me as legion has 100 times more to do (and enjoy).
But it was new then, I’m almost 700 days in now.
Though, I wasn’t talking about the doom and gloom idiom. I simply stated exactly what I said with no intent on insinuating anything else, whatever you took away from it is on you.
What Legion did at the start was heavily inflate time spent doing any activity that previously took a couple of minutes. It also dangled a potential legendary drop from doing anything in the game and of course soft capped artifact weapons where if you just did a few more random things you could maybe unlock another minor trait.
No. Seriously, no.
I can´t let this slide.
The idea, that this trash expansion with only 8 released dungeons on release and 4 zones with ´´content´´ that is standing afk hitting a fish or bugged rock climbing quests… has more to do than Legion, is such a crazy copium lie.
You seriously can not compare Class order hall quests for every single class in the game, to whatever trash renown quests we have for 4 different factions no one cares about.
Wrong
Patch 7.1: The Return to Karazhan was Launched Five Years Ago on October 25, 2016 - Wowhead News
Legion was released 30 August and its first patch was released 25th October.
That´s less than 2 months for the release of a new megadungeon and a new raid.
What have we gotten after 2 months? Awful invasions no one cares about.
My mistake mate. I quoted you, but it was a reply to the OP. Wasn’t aimed at you.
Anything after the first paragraph I wrote was for OP, not you.
Even or not this expansion is good or not, the next expansion is properly set up already with systems, art , reputation or renown. If this expansion fails in the end they have no option to change that in the next because they need to plan the next expansion already. So dont think that DF good or bad will be corrected in the next expansion. I will bet we get borrowed powers again.
Every expansion after Legion felt like a worse version of Legion. Only thing that Dragonflight has going for it is no required borrowed power farm. Classes are lackluster, just a bunch of bloated specs with 20 different abilities that all do the same thing.
We need better class design, better story development, better rewards for end-game systems. Better looking weapons and armor.
People want old mage tower and challenge rewards back because current weapons look dreadful in comparison.
Why is the best looking mount in the game locked behind a game mode that nobody plays? (Solo shuffle completely killed 3v3). Why is KSM reward a horrible looking ground mount that walks like it has braindamage?
Aint nobody got time for baby steps no more. We want them to run the marathon. Do the big changes. Shock the player base. Do ridiculous things
This safe net approach just enrages players even more.
We aint waiting for God knows how many more expansions for things to get better and better
The time for waiting has past.
Changes
Now.
This just goes to prove that whatever Blizzard will do, people will complain.
If they ever do anything like TBC again, I’m done; I’m gone.
Imo TBC was THE worst expansion in WoW’s history.
This expansion is already a lot better than legion was. there are plenty of content to do, and no i don’t want crappy systems like islands, warfronts and boreghast back.
I love this expansion, and am still logging every week to raid and get some keys done. However I wonder if this is a sign of addiction and “being used to it” rather than looking forward to it.
As much as I love this game, I do wonder how everyone else feels about it.
Also: “No King Lives Forever”
did you try tanks ? all of them are inredibly fun to play this season
thats the expack they ducked up my speccs so ill agree.
How is it the worst expansion for you if they introduced the best raids, great stories and great dungeons for PvE?
Nighthold is one of the best raid ever date
even Legion Raids were easy
If i remember correctly then there was a massive outcry during Legion because of a content drought.
For me its the first expack the specs felt dry profession star system BS and legendarys you needed to do dps.
Also the mid tier raids i hate even to this day.
Also artifact power ON not one specc all three farm BS.
