Were they multiboxer?

I was gathering herbs with my Druid character 15 min ago and 4 Druids came to the herb node to gather it but I noticed they were acting together, they were gathering and then flying away very fast so I’ve encountered with them on several herb nodes like this. I wonder were they a multiboxer?

If they are all herbing at the same time it’s possible the player is using some kind of multiboxing software. You can report them by clicking on one of the characters and right click report them. Blizzard can investigate and take action if necessary. There is no way for us to really know.

How can I report them while they are acting very fast? I couldn’t catch them.

You have to learn to be quick (it can be a pain), as long as you get to the report popup you should be fine. If they are a multiboxer they are also likely to be doing circuits so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding them again.

Ok will try when I see them again.

Blizzard didn’t go the whole way back when they banned multiboxing. They just banned “broadcasting keystrokes to multiple instances of wow”. This means it’s kinda impossible to know whether those people are breaking the rules or not.

There’s still multiboxing software available (e.g. https://wowopenbox.org ) that makes changing between multiple clients really fast without breaking the new rules.

I’d say, when you’re in doubt just report and let Blizzard sort it out. But as long as they keep the rules as vague as they’re now I think we’ll never really get rid of the herbing druid armies.

Kinda sucks for the people that just wanted to multibox to play multiple characters at once without affecting others.

All in all the herbing druids were actually affected the least by blizzards change.

You can also use

/run C_ReportSystem.OpenReportPlayerDialog(PLAYER_REPORT_TYPE_SPAM, UnitName("target"), PlayerLocation:CreateFromUnit("target"))

in a macro to open the report window if you struggle with rightclicking the player fast enough. But that’s probably a bit overkill.

yes they are.
Just follow them to a node and by the time it takes to multiscum the herb then youll have right clicked on the lead multiscum and can report, its what i do.

I’ve encountered with them again. 4 Druids were gathering herbs in Bastion and his name was Shadowbeast from Horde faction but I couldn’t report him…

Multiboxing is not bannable

  • only if they are multiboxing using software to copy key strokes

so basically just report them anyway and blizzard will investigate

It’s also worth inspecting them. A lot of those Bastion druid bots are equipped in cheap green gear that one gets from Blizzard’s level 50/60 character boost service. That’s a very strong indication that they’re a bot.

Yeah I could look at one of their name and it was Shadowbeast like I mentioned above but I don’t think it is enough evidence to ban him. If you see them (4 Druids clustered and gathering fast) in Bastion report them immediately.

If you screenshot it you can also report to Hacks@Blizzard.com. Just give details like where it happened and when.

I don’t have a screenshot unfortunately.

I mean you don’t need a screenshot to report via mail, but it helps, the important thing is to give as many details as you have (place, time, what realm they were from if you remember etc.)

Blizzard doesn’t give a damn and i doubt anyone ever reads anything in that email.
If they wanted to do something about it they would have done it by now. Regarding multiboxing it’s not a secret, if you want to see multiple packs of 10 druids you can check out Burning Thicket in maldraxxus, they’re ALWAYS there, anyone can find them, except blizzard apparently.

Yesterday I saw 6 druids collecting herbs in Revendreth. Killed them all and camped them for 30 minutes, it was a very satisfying experience.

How did you kill them? Were they in PvP mode?

You can’t name (and shame) on the forums so you might want to edit the name out. Just giving you a heads up
