Today lets get away from optimisation, trinkets and all.
Today I want you to tell me what’s your favourite hunter pet in term of design.
I’m pretty sure some of you have their « n°1 pet », the one you always use because you love it.
On this hunter, the pet I play with since the lvl 10 is my Draenor reaver. I tamed it during the WoD Tanaan Jungle scenario and I never stopped play with.
On my worgen, I wanted to tame a bat from the quillboar dungeon but my group killed em all, so one of them told me « Why don’t you try the frogs ? » I didn’t know I can tame one but I tried and… Kermit joined me for many and many levels.
Later on the same character I fell in love for these weird raptors-like birds in Talador. I tamed one and named it CocoPeru. (I let you check YouTube)
On my void elf I tamed the first cat I encountered in Highmountain and I chose to keep it as my main pet, and I never played with another pet.
Please tell me I’m not the only hunter who loves as much his pets x)
Favourite pet, hmmmm… Now here’s a difficult question.
I like so many types of animals, and in WoW you have so many nice designs. I keep changing pet depending on my mog and/or content I am doing.
However if I had to pick one, and only one, it would be either the white or brown Warden Owl. My first pet in the game ever was a grey Owl I caught in Teldrassil, and ever since having an Owl as a pet has been something special to me. Warden Owls are basicly a better model for them, wish we had the same colors available as with the base Owls.
Regardless there’s plenty of pets out there I really like. The white Lion (Echeyakee) and the aqua Saber Cat (Rak’Shiri) have both been my main pet, at different times and in other toon.
Love all spirit beasts but I just tamed… Anzu and well that was already my favo mount but now also my favo pet
Well I did also have a murloc in Legion but Blizz took that one away
In order, from what I own: -Loque -Pink Panthara (argus cats) -Fenryr -Mummified Raptor -Magma Turtle
There’s a few I’d like to grab still though.
I also still have my Green Crane from MoP BGs who’s now useless, I used to love putting to people to sleep with it, so that holds a place in my heart; even if it’s not a great model.
For me it’s wolves especially the Draenor models. Just love them. Unfortunately i don’t use then anymore due to their racial being useless. Maybe one day we can actually have more of a say about what our pets can learn.
I have a few.
My go to pet at the moment is my crocodile, He’s low to the ground, and doesn’t get in the way of anything.
I picked one up at the start of this expansion and have been using him none stop since I’ve been trying to do mythics.
Last expansion I had a Terroclaw hatchling. It’s like having a raptor, but ferocity. So good. No offence to Raptor lovers.
Also My kodo I named wart, big giant lovable thing. I should use him more.
As my BM I use a clefthoof, purely because they are the best tank pets.
But the pet I loved most was my worm. Not the fancy northrend or electric ones, no the simple low poly worms from pre cata. He now rests in my stables until they give us back choosable pet specs.
GIVE ME MORE GIANT PETS!
I’m an orc, I want a great big scary thing to run next to me. I want giant crocodiles, and those cool crawbats from maldraxus.
Maw beetles for Tenacity, they just look absolutely cool and go very well with both my transmog and with Night Fae covenant armors.
I also like how Gargons look, but the sounds they make all the time are almost as bad as crokolisks were back in vanilla.
Also ghostly ice worms from that one quest for Sons of Hodir. Such a pity worms are only good for their looks…
Pandarian Ravens for Ferocity (carrion birds) - best birds.
Maw rats for Cunning and PvP - they are small, compact, look cool and have mortal wounds, whats not to love.
Well for me it’s Ghost Saber. Tamed her at lvl 20 back in Cata and been with me sense. A honorable mention goes to the worgen/wolf in wotlk that changed skin color when you summon it. Sadly blizzard doesn’t like people to have fun so they removed that ability on that pet.
