See, I’m going to agree with you here to some extent.
In “easy” content like MC, there’s actually a point in sometimes bringing several resto druid or shadow priests. You get them geared for the difficult content where you will have to optimize your raid setting, at least for the hardest bosses.
And since everyone has a real life, sometimes is unable to come to a raid, or goes on holidays, it’s wise to have several geared players of each class.
The situation won’t be that simple when harder content arrives though, and your raid has trouble passing the “dps check” bosses.

I’m with you … only Blizzard choose to implement (or not remove) that nasty open all mail button. It was not there in Vanilla, and I AM going to use this one addon removing this (insert swearword of choice) button!
I fell addicted to Booty Bay Gazette.
My god, some of you use so many mods I wonder if there’s any original game left lol.
I only use a few:
- Miks Scrolling Battle Text - takes ages to get it how you want it but it’s very good
- Vendor Price - simple yet incredibly useful
- Recount - personally I use it to see my own progress rather than for competitive/elitist reasons
- WowDings - who doesn’t want to post actual love hearts rather than <3
- Better Damage Text - choose your own font for the floaty damage text, used in conjunction with Miks above
I think that’s it. I’m thinking about better portraits/party UI and a castbar but not that bothered really.
Questie - my fav addon that makes the crappy q finding easier
ArkInventory - makes crappy bag managing easier / automated
TSM - makes mass selling of items much much easier
None - I just play the game using what Blizz gave me

Just to see their response 
I wonder how the game was originally ment to be played - specifically raids.
I doubt that Blizzard went like: “Let’s make the game unplayable without addons LOL.”
