If you’re only doing casual stuff then you don’t need addons…?

Mouseover is an option… you can make them harm and heal like this:

#showtooltip
/cast [@mouseover,help][help] Riptide; [@mouseover,harm][harm] Flame Shock; Riptide

If you have no target/mousover target it will heal you. I do this on my Shammy… one harm spell to one heal. Chain heal becomes chain lightning on an enemy and so on.

What does decursive do?

Also @op, i heal with elvui combined with clique

Healbot. All in one.

None…

I just use Weakauras, BigDebuffs and mouseover macros. Anything else is unnecessary and mostly down to personal preference.

Healbot continued.

Used it since WOTLK, never looked back: healbot.dpm15 .net/

Strife (the author) is always active on the forums, helping players, listening to feedback and fixing bugs.

Really helpful at dispelling and other things.

Clique and Elvui - you are good to go.

Easy to use and understand as new healer.

I used to use Clique but it messed my experience because my pc often borks so i am forced to reinstall WoW or remove WTF folder etc, idk… Resulting in loss of the addon’s custom macros very often.

So now I use none

These were all I used from wrath through mop too.

I swear I looked for clique when I tried out healing again in BfA and there were only ancient versions so I ended up with vuhdo. Guess I can finally delete vuhdo and start using clique again :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I can suggest VuhDo aswell. It’s a bit overwhelming at first but it’s got everything related to your raid frames( and even more). The thing I love about it the most is the fact you can assign any ability to your mouse, whenever you use it to click on the UI(including modifiers), which makes spells like innervate or leap of faith much easier to use, or making your core heals much less tedious to spam.( you can also use it as a dps, for example with abilities like tricks of the trade or misdirect).

Btw don’t listen to those trolls who say “u dont need addons if you don’t do mythic”. I would suggest it to even the most casual healer, as quality of life changes have nothing to do with the type of content you plan on engaging and are always welcome.

I don’t use any and don’t need to, you don’t either.
For that casual level of play, none is perfectly fine and easily doable.

But they want to.

I use mouseover macros like Anna showed above (and do the same heal/harm ones on my resto shaman too!). I also use the standard Blizzard raid frames. The only add-on I use specifically for healing is Big Debuffs as the standard raid frames only show 3 hots on a target - and as a resto druid I’ll often have more than that on my tank. It’s also quite useful for letting me know who I can dispell, and when a helpful fellow druid has cast innervate on me. I did set up some weak auras for tracking when I could reapply lifebloom optimally and when my efflorescence was about to run out, but my pc had a few issues and deleted my weak areas a few times and I’ve been too lazy to set them up again.

I’ve had a lot of people recommend Clique and Vudho, but as I find mouseover macros really simple to set up I haven’t seen a need to switch. Maybe try out some of these suggestions and see what works for you? Whatever helps you to heal quickest and easiest is the best thing for you to go for - regardless of what content you run :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t use any, not because of “lol u don’t need to” but largely because i’m a creature of habit. I’ve always used macros instead.

I use the same format as Anna’s regarding casting spells based upon my target and whether they are hostile or not. Really saves on bar space. I don’t actually use mouseover macros because where I’ve tried I seemed to experience issues with it, but I may try again.

My my disc priest I use slightly different macro setups. I keep my offensive spells with their own keybinds and my healing one with their own keybind but I’ve written macros so that if I have an enemy targeted and I press the heal button it targets the target of my target (if my target is hostile) so I can just weave my healing button presses inbetween my smites to keep atonement up. Also very useful for when I see a mob targeting a party member with a nuke or shot, as I just need to target that mob, press PWS and it shields whoever they’re aiming for.

Mostly VuhDo and Clique.
