It is actively killing the game.

High end raiding is a case of follow the WA.

It cannot come soon enough.

Yes, weak auras will be gone with midnight sadly. But classes and encounters will be simplified, so hopefully won’t have the same use for weak auras anymore.

I was never particularly keen on WAs, I think it’s a good thing that the system is being broken. :partying_face:

In a way it think you are right. in the long run its probably a good thing. but its gonna be hard to adjust to during first launch weeks. Cuz we have depended on it so much for decades

Blizzard aren’t removing WeakAura so we have no idea whether it will work or not. It’s up to the WA developers

Oh sure. Not counting combat side of WA.

Also character UIs which were based on WA, including your own customizations regarding CDs, trinket CDs and etc will also be gone.

But then again Blizz is also dumbing the classes down so you can play WoW with feet pedals so… Hip hip Hooray?

The ppl responsible for the WA addon already said they won’t continue it in Midnight, only for classic.

Good riddance. No more waiting until everyone has blabla Weakauras installed for Raids or M+ and to make sure everyone is using not just the same WA’s but also the RIGHT VERSION of said WA.

Have seen so many raids wipe because the few people that had to deal with a mechanic weren’t using the right version of a WA. One example of that was during Sepulcher of the First Ones - The Dread Lords.

Yeah, those who have depended on them will have a tough adjustment period and there will be loads of complaints and posts moaning about it…but all the more reason why things should be addressed to avoid future dependency on things such as this. Maybe part of the reason why I’m okay with this change is because I didn’t have that dependency. I got what I wanted from the game without relying on all these additional systems - but each to their own. :slightly_smiling_face:

Its because blizzard thinks people hate addons, so they joined the bandwagon and decided lets go with it, their was a huge thread up about banning addons during dragonflight expansion.

Im not against change but i am against bad change.

Didn’t realise being able to track my weeklies, knowledge points for professions, the fish caught during the Meraldar Derby, or making the cursor more visible were killing the game.

What, you think WA only existed for combat!!?

I even made weak aura reminders about on what talent spec I am(m+ build or raid build) and the appropriate gear set warnings for it.
Sure its a “minor WA” but it added a personal touch to my UI regardless.
