What are easiest MT challenges for book mount?

As the topic says, I am interested in getting this book mount from MT challenge.

Back in Legion I did 34/36, but I kind of don’t have enough time now for the same effort and I am looking for a shortcut.

I already did probably the easiest one - Ele shaman.

Please let me know your opinion about easiest others.

Hi, I got the book on the first reset, and here are the easiest imo:

  • Agatha >imo fire mage is even easier than elemental, but elemental comes 2nd.
  • Karam & Raest > Frost mage by far. And I really mean by far.
  • Healing one > Either resto shaman / resto druid / holy paladin. Take the one you are most comfortable with. For me it was shaman.
  • Kruul > VDH by far. Guardian druid is 2nd for me.
  • Tugar > WW monk is by far the easiest. BM hunter comes 2nd.
  • Halls of Valor one > Retribution paladin
  • Xylem (the hardest challenge out of them all, but purely due to the dps race, not mechanically). I completed this one with Havoc DH and it was incredibly difficult and tight, but I would probably say frost DK has it the best here.

I did fury on 7 tries. Just get weapons below ilvl 50 and slap crusader enchant on them.
I did it with Shadowmourne and the axe from Terrace raid in MoP because I had the legendary gem from the questline, but anything works really.

I did fury warrior and retri pala.
But I play these two so can’t sya how easy get crusader enchant on weapon and EZ use cc.

While I haven’t tried it as VDH, I can totes believe that it’s preferable. You are practically unyeetable.

I think paladin is easier than guardian though. I watched my friend struggle for a long time as bear, while I completed it rather undramatically with like a dozen or so attempts. The numbers seemed more forgiving to paladins.

It’s 2 reasons pretty much. One being exactly what you pinpointed. Glide negates the knockback completly, and this pretty much means everything is easier since you don’t have to be so cautious and you can dps more. Second being that DHs have very weak covenant powers (VDHs are Kyrian, and yes the decree is very nice and all, but it wouldn’t affect the challenge so much as Ashen Hallow / Convoke would for example), so going in there without SL power wasn’t such an issue. On P1, rotating sigils to silence / stun the adds also trivialized the nether storm mechanic. Very easy overall.

I personally only gave paladin 1 go, and I struggled more. I could be wrong, but I believe druids have a much better toolkit to counter the boss. Incap roar is up for every set of adds, and thrash + swipe + thrash will kill them. Balance affinity 100% trivializes the aura of decay mechanic, and you have charge if you mess up the knockbacks by any chance. Bears also have nice damage uptime with berserk in P2, aswell as a incredibly defensive toolkit, meaning you could in theory survive 5 annihilates (I personally killed him at 3rd). With paladins, I’m not sure since it’s pretty much only Ardent defender, guardian and bubble, but as said, I may be wrong

In my personal experience, which is a bit limited because I don’t play all classes/specs:

  • Agatha: Fury war or Fire mage, though this is the easiest challenge by far so it doesn’t matter what spec you choose imo
  • Twins: I did it as frost mage but I sucked at kiting the first attempts.
  • Risen Threat (healer): Either Holy Pala or Shaman since they have great utility and dps compared to for example priest.
  • Tanking one: not done yet but I hear ppl saying DH is easiest because of the mobility and gliding.
  • Feltotem: I did it as BM hunter but WW monk is on par. Depends on your pref playstyle i.e. ranged or melee.
  • Sigryn: I did both ret pala and Enchance shaman and found Enhancement so much easier. Burstier aoe, Elemental for tanking, faster running with spirit wolf/raptor.
  • Xylem: Did this one as Arms War and it was okay. First phase is just mechanically difficult, after that it’s a dps race so save drums, pots for that phase, and spec so that your execute can proc + that it’s usable under 35% instead of 20%.

I 1-shot Xylem as arms warrior, would highly recommend that one. Haven’t tried it on my DK, but the DH version has to be one of the hardest, that one took me quite some time.

Yeah, arms is way better in P2 since the dps check is abit more tolerable as arms. In P1 however, the leap + charge may be a bit more risky than the AMZ + death’s advance which are up for every single phase switch.

I would say it is. I main a DH since the day it came out, and I struggled with it the most. And not the P1 version, purely the dps check. Had to make so many adapts to talent choices, and I had to grab every bit of broken gear / enchants / consumables to get it. It was incredibly tight. Even on the last attempt while playing pretty much flawlessly (timing eye beam to kill the 3 adds while also hitting Shadow - you can imagine the minmaxes I made) I killed him maybe 2 seconds before the whole floor was engulfed.

I did it in Legion with 900 ilvl (first few days after it came out) and it wasn’t as tight as this was. This felt like doing the Legion version with 880 ilvl.

I suggest you start with the Hardest one. If you can’t do it then you’ve saved yourself on attempting the others.
I’ve saved myself a lot of time and frustration by not attempting any of them.

Whatever you do, just don’t try on either affliction warlock, shadow priest or holy priest. Whoever managed to do either of 3, or all 3 combined, is a few levels above us.

I tried all 3, and let me tell you it’s incredibly difficult. I really pull off my hat to people that managed these.
