What are Nightborne Priests faithful to?

So after reading the forums, I’ve got a few more questions about Nightborne Priests and where they draw their powers from. One says “Cosmos”, doesn’t that just make them an Astromancer? - Then there’s “They’re still faithful in Elune”…

I just wonder: What is the most logical and lore-friendly reason my character draws light magic and where she gets it from.

Questing implies they’re lapsed Elune worshipers, having gone relatively secular in their bubble but oldies like Valtrois fondly remember the old days and approves of maintaining the holy grounds in Suramar.

This is a really interesting question.

Whether the Shal’dorei still have faith in Elune, or not, we will never know as Blizzard have never expanded their belief.

One thing, I have come across while walking in the Nighthold however, I have noticed a group of cloth-wearing Shal’dorei kneeling before the statue of the Nightborn female, with Moon scythe on her hands.

Perhaps, this is how they imagine Elune in her physical form?

She was also shown in the concept art of Suramar city.

Anyways, I assume, it is safe to say you are a priestess of Nighthold, or that you are a Chronomancer, if you are going to play Shal’dorei priestess.

However, in Highborne community of the Shal’dorei, being a priestess (tied to the “religion”) will not be accepted.
