What are the best classes to use lvl 58 boost for pve (class in most demand)

I still have my lvl 58 boost left and I’ve wanted to boost a new character to do some PVE content with it (mostly raids) and I wondered what classes are in a high demand right now except rouge.

Rogues aren’t in demand, they’re the least wanted class in the game.

Highest demand is shamans, each raid wanting 4 or 5 of them.

Shamans, Warlocks, Hunters.

That, and maybe tanks of any sort.

Shamans, Prot Paladin, healers outside of Druid.

Shaman, prot paladin, warlock, hunter.

obviously shaman. tank i argue against, yes its good for pugs and making ur own groups, but most decent guilds already have tanks so they would only consider geared + experianced tanks if at all. tldr, shaman of any spec

thats a true form of words there. sadly it only works when told by twitch streamer kids of gehennas/firemaw or something. yet even asmongoldo baggins!

It’s a paradox - nobody wants rogues in raids. Apparently nobody ever invites them….guild or pug.

Yet every fecking rogue has warglaives………

I’m a filthy casual, but personally I think it’s a fallacy. Rogues have interrupts, stuns, excellent DPS, and all kinds of other utility. Definitely a spot for a Rogue or two in any well-balanced group.

Though maybe some of the hardcore players would disagree?

On Gehennas we have an abundance of GDKP runs. Like 4-5 different runs every day.

EDIT: as I was typing this message, I just logged in to the game and immediately found another glaive-rogue (both glaives) with 1558 2’s rating and 1600 3’s.

Seems to be quite a few of those around.

Yes, mostly because every other class brings the same things. The only thing rogues really bring is improved expose armour; you only need one for that.

My guild runs two rogues. We’d rather just run one, but both of them have been with us for years and are exceptional players. Good people too.

But that’s why I say the demand for rogues is low: we wont be recruiting any more rogues. Probably ever.

By continuing to use those two Rogues due to their skills and being good people You described a text book example of: “bring the player not the class”.

Except when we’re oversigned on raid night, then it’s “bench the class, not the player”.

Rogues are the only class that doesn’t increase the dps of others in the group/raid, they can increase melee damage with improved expose armor but it’s costly for them to do so, worthwhile on raid bosses but less so on trash, pointless in dungeons. Otherwise they do similar single target DPS to a Warrior and have great cleave in short bursts, but a Warrior brings group buffs and can continue cleaving while the Rogue is waiting for Blade Flurry cooldown.

Nobody wants Rogues really because you can just bring another class that will do the same or more damage in most situations, while also bringing something to the group. In the original TBC Rogues were still seen as the “king” of dps and were very popular, this time people are more concerned with getting extra Bloodlusts, Hunters and Warlocks, extra melee spots go to Warriors for the superior cleave.

Might see them more in Sunwell though, they scale very well. On a personal note though, our guild had 2 Rogues, we gave a Rogue our first DST, I did dungeons with them plenty, Rogues are fine, it’s just “meta” trends.

Nah you kinda want exactly one PvPer Rog in your raid, to interrupt on council with pvp glove, put up IEA on bosses for other melees and soak up the Glaive so he will pose with it and your guild tag in Shat, maybe even get some title with the glaive later down the line.
More than exactly one is insanity tho.

Atm running 2 rogues arent so bad. With T6 gear they can compete for top 5 raid dps spot.

However back in t4+t5 even the damage rogue brought was garbage.

True enough, I am running with 2 and occasionally even 3 rogues for very much the same reasons Miylee does. At least now it is no longer such a disservice to raid efficiency anymore.

  1. Shaman. You want 5 in a raid.

  2. Feral Druid Tank. Seem to be in high demand as most are either bad or just want to play 100% cat and a raid would optimaly like 2 feral tanks and 1 paladin as their choice of tanks.

  3. Warlock. Because they are great and you want 2-3 in a raid atleast.

I would put hunter there too but everyone and their mother has a hunter nowdays. Same with Warrior, everyone seem to be playing warrior.

Playing rogue while not having frienbdsand a guaranteed raidspot is basicly just griefing your self.

Shamans, Warlocks, Hunters
