Wouldn’t everything existing in the SL be considered undead?
Not 100% sure how we the pc as visitors are treated who didn’t die to get there though.
Also, I don’t think the denizens of the Maw could completely slip through to reality until the Jailor gave Sylvanas the power to do so on the other side, when she shattered the helm of domination.
Otherwise Anduin would of gone paragliding much earlier.
Might also be that they are living amor with tortured soul in the metal. In Toghast you can see Soulforges, where souls are fused into the metals there.
Being part of the Maw’s plan doesn’t necessarily mean that he was aware of his part. The idea is that SL doesn’t need to retcon Arthas’ motives, it might just give context to the story of the Lich King anfdwhat he was meant to do, as well as explain how his magic armor and sword worked.
Wait what?
When did this recon happen?
Last i heard ner’zul waged a war again the nubuians and won.
He also used the plague to spread the curse of undead.
Then mass reanimated corpses across lorederan.
Well, the current observation is that all of the Lich King forces in some way resemble things that could be seen in Shadowlands (val’kyr – kyrians; ziggurats, abominations, necromancy overall, and nerubian motives – Maldraxxus and its architecture; san’layn – Revendreth). I do not think the exact details are revealed so far. We’ll have to wait and see how that is going to be explained.
