So have you decided what you are going to do with the first Legendary you craft?
Are you going to craft the base Rank 1 legendary and then upgrade it to rank 2, 3 and 4 over time or just wait and craft straight to Rank 4.
I am probably going to wait for Rank 3 and then upgrade to rank 4 later.
I guess it would depend on if you need the Legendary right away. Or if the Legendary power you need is locked behind raid boss or different layer in torghast, which means you’ll probably craft at higher rank first time anyway.
i dont even know how to get a legendary yet alone upgrade it :)…
it’s sad to think that when they are out they will be required in order to do anything …

Probably level 4 because I’m gonna wait quite some time anyway to keep myself from having to pay a fortune for the required crafted stuff.
Get rank 1 and then upgrade it to rank 4. You want the effect of the legendary most of all.

That doesn’t change the fact that the required items are going to be VERY expensive for a while. So, I’m going to wait.
I can make most of it myself so 
I have engineering. Yay me. 
And no; before anyone suggests it: I’m not getting BS or something… I’ve had engineering since vanilla. It’s part of my character’s identity.
i’m not sure what you mean, if you want to craft a legendary this week, it will be rank 1 which you can upgrade further with a higher rank base legendary item + additional soul ash.
Personally i will most likely wait for the raid release hoping my bis drops from normal then craft that one. If it doesn’t, i will craft something decent, i already got like 2.

This is sound advice. I spent about 30k for my gloves and I regret it immensely seeing as they’re roughly ~7k at the moment. Suits me right for wanting to be prepared.
Wait, because my BIS legendary is gated behind last boss in castle

if you want to raid or do high keys you need the legendary, so there’s no way to wait for rank 4.
Precisely. In my case as a tank I need (or at the very least have a major advantage when using) the glove legendary to keep up my parry chance (Dancing Rune Weapon). This is advantageous for everyone in my group and raid.

You will never introduce a system that doesn’t follow this trend.
If you think about it… it’s the same with loot effectively 🤷 as soon as a new highest ilevel comes out you aren’t welcome without it
This isn’t true at all unless you play in a hardcore mythic guild. Sure, you need decent gear to join groups but nobody will check if your legendary is rank 3 or 4. If you are willing to put zero effort into increasing your gear, why do you expect people to take u into groups? How does that make sense?
It takes me 10 seconds to google wow SL how to craft legendaries and there are 20 videos, 10 guides thrown at me.

Rank 2. It’s fine, you can use it the week raids and m+ open.

Technically true with Superstrain, but until I somehow get that in raids I’m using Crimson Rune Weapon.
