What are your hopes for WoW after the coming saga?

Wow 2? Game Overhaul?
Personally I want to explore the other side of Azeroth, the map is starting to look a little crowded, I reckon it’s about time we head off to unexplored regions that we don’t even know about. The continents that weren’t apart of ancient Kalimdor.

This one is pretty crowded too. I wonder whats on the other side.

Your map does not feature the state of Palestine.

Yes, however it’s already known that the map we’re looking at is just one side of azeroth, and that Kalimdor wasn’t the only continent. I do not see why we shouldn’t go see the rest of that?

we need to lose , we got to take an L make the stakes high.

Something to log in for again like we had for TBC LK , Grommash.

We keep winning and players /care about the story.

Last time I remember the community in uproar in a good way was the burning of Teldrassil.
Horde players genuinely felt guilty , unconfortable even. I remember posts : This is not my Horde.
Alliance players absolutely fuming and wanting vengeance.

We need that kind of passion thrown in lore wise.

Us actually losing at the end would be insane. I can imagine we’d have all the big lore figures, faction leaders, etc all there for that final fight and then we just fail, people die, cities burn.

There is no state of Palestine so that would be the reason.

Yes but not by vilifying one of the factions

3 main things:

  • Complete new big continent on the other side of the world. No 4 zone nonsense.
  • An overhaul/update of the existing world.
  • Housing.

I like the way you think. Especially housing, that would be fun.

this hype is for nothing. its basically 1 expansion with 3 very big patches.

what i want above all is three things:

  1. overall modernizaion of wow. wow, after all these years, still acts like old mmo and refuses to move forward.

which leads me to

  1. quality of life. im tired of huge raids. i hate walking for hours in huge castles to do bosses. i hate it that wow doesnt have so little checkpoints in dungeons and raids.
the way it should be is, you kill a boss, its saved. and then walking to bosses is short walk.
also, allow to mount in raids. there is no reason for us to WALK so much.

im tired of losing keys. dont understand why failure=loss of key. blizzard need to promote fun. losing stuff isnt fun. i can play hardcore wow if i want that.

  1. remove all raid-assist boss. it just forces blizzard to make harder raids just to challenge DBM, instead of the player.

som addons are good, like role-playing mods, or disability assist mods, or organizers, or spam block, or chat assist, or organizers. etc. basically, quality of life improvements.

(my personal thing)
4. bring back the old pre-legion UI. the current UI is soooo bad. if you want to edit your UI, great, but dont force it on me or other people who enjoy the original UI.

Would burn tree again.

I don’t think you can make these kinds of generalisations. There was a clear split in the Horde playerbase. There was a clear divide of Loyalists vs non Loyalists.

If anything the issues with the Loyalist storyline is that the choices didn’t really work. She wanted to let every bit of plotting behind her back go unpunished, where as I was ready to wipe them all out.

My hope for WoW after the World Soul Saga is that it doesn’t relate to it.

That is to say that I want the World Soul Saga to have a climax and an ending. I don’t want another Jailer moment foreshadowing a bigger threat. I want a conclusion, and I want WoW to be about something else afterward. Not the World Soul, not The Titans, not Xal’atath, not Iridikron, and not The Void.
And I want the ending to mean something, result in something, and have consequences for someone.

The WoW / Starcraft worlds clash and we get a Zerg invasion.

Granted we’d win with pathetic ease 'cause… waves at everything that we beat and the ideas silly and not at all serious, but ‘we beat the planet we stand on/saved it for the hundredth time only this one was super special because we went underground’ doesn’t leave a lot of room for further growth.

More new content.
If midnight and TLT are indeed old world revamps of northern Lordaeron and Northrend i think we will be ready to go somewhere new.

I am ok with other side of azeroth (south side, not back side), or a completely new world aka planet.

It would be nice to go on a new adventure like what FF is doing with Dawntrail, in a new undiscovered continent which is bigger than what we can explore in 1 expansion.

I would love to see the game reset.
Rethinking what happened, what is good, what isn’t.

There are a few tenets that didn’t age too well from a Classic perspective.
Others did.

The current iteration can be fun but it feels like Diablo 3 to me. Rush, grind, not social.
Whether it should follow this path, or reset, isn’t up to me. Maybe both - the world is content, while the mechanics are numbers.

I don’t have story ideas, I always found Horde vs Alliance silly, same about mandatory extermination of leaders and locations, because. I would be perfectly happy with finally sorting things out and working on rooting out various types of corruptions: bandits, organisations. Heck, if we end up with throwaway characters anyway, we might as well pull a big account bound (to avoid FOMO by choosing a dead end) while also allowing players to join these bandits. Call it Bloodsail Buccaneers or Thieves Guild or Deadmines or Cult of the Damned, I don’t care.

Maybe because does not exist :stuck_out_tongue:
