What can be done about M+ queue simulator?

It’s not necessarily about the success rate and more about the stress coming with the role.
Tanks are the scapegoat if anything goes wrong most of the time, after that healers. I haven’t seen a lot of DPS players getting blamed for things unless they’re doing tank dps or something really incredibly stupid.

Furthermore most people just prefer to play DPS anyways because big pew pew == happy.
So it seems like not enjoying tanking as much + having more stress performing that role = people rather chose to wait longer.

One of my friends is a good example. Started this season as a tank because he was sick of the waiting time, discovered that the pressure of tanking was too much for him and then rolled back to DPS, just accepting the longer waiting time.

For content like heroic dungeons, this doesn’t matter as much because most people just want to be done with it and everything melts in seconds anyways.

It wasn’t. The point still stands that you’ll get into groups way faster when you’re playing a tank.
Higher rating will require you to play meta classes which is true for every role, be it DPS, heal or tank.

Taking this season as an example, a prot warrior or prot paladin will find groups faster than a frost dk. (Those a currently meta).
If you’re playing off-meta, you’ll have issues finding groups either way once you hit a certain mark.

yeah this sucks but thats also called being a grown up

at some point you gotta realise you will have to give up some of your hobbies from younger years - its part of growing up when you have other priorities .

Not a lie. You get messages completely out of context.

Amazingly useless comment, but thanks.

The concept of M+ was for small guilds/friends/communities that wanted a challenge and could not field 20 players for mythic raid this is what Ion said pre m+ launch during Legion , high keys were never meant to be pugged per saa and auto que is not coming.

If you can’t get into other people’s groups then try making your own. It might take a while but you might get to play eventually.

Also, right now, there are a lot of people playing Remix. I’ve noticed that Dornogal is virtually empty now compared to how it used to be.

When I tried to push M+ recently, I did not have a good experience running with the few people who are left playing retail atm, so I’ve decided to also hop on Remix and wait till others are mostly done with it before I start pushing again.

Title keys can be pugged. You clearly dont know anything about high m+.

Sure they can but is it efficient enough?
CE can also be “theoretically” be pugged though but anyone wishing to seriously aim for CE always look for CE guilds instead.

CE cant be pugged. The coordination required to kill certain bosses with 20 random people is simply too much.
High m+ is much easier than CE when it comes to coordination.

I think the reason they don’t remove depletion, is because they like that it wastes our time. Without depletion, people would achieve their goals sooner and some players would move on to other games.

Tanks get invites much sooner than dsp, but there a still meta preferences based on spec e.g this season a Protection Warrior will sooner be invited than a Blood Death Knight.

alot of people also leave because its too boring to do the same keys over and over to reach a score key.

I hope they will add M+ in LFG so we dont need “looking for groups or players” forever! If you look at Fellowship!

Good luck finding healers and tanks in WoW. SoloQ wont work in WoW unless they fix the tank and healer issue.

They need to somehow make the division of responsibility between tanking, healing and DPS fairer (don’t know how), and how they stop it being best to push and get your score early in the season, and it being completely pointless to try later in the season (because all the good players got their score and quit, and mostly bad players are left), I also don’t know.

What’s the point if 1 in 5 keys are failed, and how will Solo Queue fix that?

Like what’s the point in paying a sub to have fun 1% of the time and for the rest you feel bad and have just wasted your time? Shouldn’t it feel fun to fill your vault each week, and not just a chore?

I’m not sure we can fall back to the “you need a static group to do this content” argument cause it doesn’t make much financial sense imo. You want the maximum people possible playing your game

umm have you ever tried pushing as a healer? if not, try it, and you are welcome. if you already know, you know.

lol I think they’ve managed to make healer the most unfun role in the game.

Between 7 and 13 its is no fun to pug as a healer , i been playing holy priest and in friend groups and community it is really stress free but on the odd time i need to pug due to shifts its been awful.

I’m not a Professional Player, so bear with me; I’m just asking questions to understand better.

If it’s not “necessarily” about the success of the dungeon, why would I feel any stress playing the tank role?

Why?

Mobs in Mythic Plus, do they not melt as quickly?

Is that what caused the tank’s stress?

But doesn’t this all tie back to the success of the dungeon?

I’m not a Pro Player, but what exactly did I miss context-wise?

Where does the fun come from? Doing the content, or beating the content? If only 1% of the time it is fun, then something is ““horribly”” wrong:p

I’d argue that the vault as system is in fact the primary reason it all feels like a chore: you need 2 / 4 / 8 dungeons to get a chance on the best possible gear, once per week. Having to do n runs to get a random piece of crap (most of the time) is just inherently a chore.

One of my chars didn’t get anything useful for the first 3 weeks of this season. It just gives you the feeling of “you know what, never mind, this isn’t worth it anymore”. You log an alt, and with only 2 dungeons they get the piece they really needed most. Wouldn’t be such a problem if you could just ‘‘farm’’ the items you need, but we can’t. And a season realistically only lasts for a week or 10-13, so missing upgrades for 20-25% of the season is just not ok.

For the tank/healer role specifically, I’m gonna say that the players are the issue - enhanced by the complete lack of social cohesion nowadays. Anyone can act like a tool, without consequences. “Back in the days” we all knew who the tools were on the realm we played.
