What can Shiv actually do (with examples)?

Hi, I just started as a sub rogue, and yes, I know all the bugs and nerfs etc…
I feel like I do something for 10 sec or so, once every 1.5 min - and that’s it. sucks!

Still, the class feels great and I want to keep going.

After suffering for a week now in BGs, I understand few things but I don’t use a lot of addons and can’t understand - what exactly does Shiv do?

Removes the enrage from a warrior? Cause they keep hitting like the same amount after the Shiv and a fury can get enraged again after 1 sec, over and over again…

Or does ‘enrage’ refers to other CDs, like paly wings, sham Ascendance, frost mage Ice Form etc…?

Applies a stronger dose of your off-hand poison.
It’s not enough to be worth taking though. Most pvp builds skip it.
