Ret does not feel like a good option, ever, if you want to reach high arena rating.

What about warr or dk xD?

both seems very good on ptr, but you gotta use more button than DH

I read loads of complains from DK players about SL DK state so I’m not sure about that. Also DK’s have the worst mobility in the game maybe just on par with Ret. I see no reason to choose DK over Warr as Warr have much faster pace and better mobility and uptime. Even so, both options don’t have a baseline stun and will have to talent for that.

To OP, I am still feeling confident DH will be in a good spot, no matter how they tune down some abilities, the mobility will be there and that counts for a lot, tbh I’m not sure how some people are able to go back to play any other slow class after experiencing DH’s speed and the ranged interrupt and baseline stuns etc. if you really don’t want to play a DH and won’t consider a caster then have a look at rogues, the only melee class that no matter how much blizzard butchers it will always be a safe choice and very much playable along with DH imo. Numbers aren’t everything when a class has an amazing kit, which reminds me ferals also have an amazing kit.

i evaluate all specs combined, and i honestly believe in pve DKs and warriors have more to offer.

If you wanna talk pvp than i honestly think losing some survivability for 15% healing reduction almost on no CD caked into rotation ( and this burning aura pvp talent ti remove magical debuffs as havoc ) is amazing.
Judging by what conduits dh have its gonna be even stronger further into SL for pvp.

That is not so obvious. Since DH defensives have been nerfed, you plan to compensate by going with defensive conduits.
Problem is finding a Soulbind path which also pays off.

If you want to fit in 2 defensive conduits (reduced magic damage taken, and Blur cooldown reduction) you will have to give up some certain traits.
With for example Nadjia, you are forced to give up Agent of Chaos (disorient targets where you teleport with Door of Shadows) and Familiar Predicaments (reducing roots and snares by 25%).

Considering the options of other classes, including Legendaries, it doesn’t look good so far.

yes these ones!

nah i am gonna go with the lil pixie from night fae condo, cause i think the hunt which can tp your to rogue in invis os OP

looks better overall than retri imo. and it will get even stronger

but i am considering DK and war as well

Just play what you enjoy playing and never change main. Every patch/expac every class/spec has its moment eventualy. The thing is if you play what you enjoy you get better much faster and you can beat people who hop main every patch.

I think unless your pvping or pushing high keys where defensives are very important you won’t notice the difference. Had a play with havoc on the ptr and it feels the same imo and I do play quite a bit of dh.

Did you play without azerite gear? since in ptr i think the gear still counts. We are gonna lose that glorious haste soon. And to the original question im planning on maining this 3 button BM hunter, if the demon hunters are released as they are now.

Yh thats fair, I was playing with 3x furious gaze. Secondary stats in 9.0 are better than they were at the start of bfa so hopefully it will feel good with 9.0 raid level gear.

Don’t think you can know whats good really until you max it out and gear it, especially with conduits and leggos needed to complete the spec. Hunter tar trap leggo looks loads of fun

DH updates, Furious gaze is becoming baseline in SL now

Dks mobility is bad but they have ranged stun, ranged interrupt, grip, pet stun and certain talents give more mobility and make it so you cant be slowed beyond a certain amount. Also chains of ice the best slow in the game and there is a 90% movement slow if you pick a talent as dk

Yes go illidari!

From what I could tell, the SL version is a 10% increase in haste.

With 480 gear on BFA, 3xFG traits gives you upwards to 4k raw haste secondary stat.

It’s a step in the right direction, but doesn’t seem remotely close to power / speed.

After playing my DH for awhile, all other classes just feel slow and boring. I am sad if that the DH get butchered in SL. :flushed:

I know the feeling.

Yh but you can’t go into a new expansion with anywhere near the power we’ve had in 8.3. 8.3 is bonkers.

I’d go Havoc or Vengeance.
