Hello,
Recently I’ve played Cyberpunk and really liked the Hacker gamestyle. What do you think, what class is the closest to this kind of gameplay?
Please describe it, for those of us who haven’t played Cyberpunk, please.
There is nothing like it, with the exception of a few bits of the rogues skillset. Even then it’s very, very basic. Unlocking boxes, chests and doors
There really isn’t a similar class, but 2 classes have similar concepts.
The closest would be Hunter.
BM Hunter = ranged, traps, utility, pet does the dirty wok.
Priest to some degree because you can mind control people and in PVP that might satisfy your crave to “hack” someone.
I’d say hunter or rogue are the closest classes
But id say Engineering is more the thing you want that’s closer to hacking in general… bombs. traps… invisibility cloaking etc. etc… which any class can be… so any class could be a “hacker” in the right concept
sounds like rogue or hunter come the closest of all the classes but not nearly close enough to what is shown in the video.
I hope it uses some soy sauce at least.
I second this. Whatever class you pick, the profession you want is Engineering. (And maybe mining to get the resources needed.)
I’ve only played around 80 hours of Cyberpunk, but for me the hacking was like putting traps on enemies, sort of like debuffs in WoW.
So as mentioned above, shadow priest (mind control and a specific venthyr covenant ability that works like confusion in pokémon) rogue (poisons, bleeds, marking targets to give you full combo points) and hunter (traps) are all good, but another (non-techy) option would be affliction warlock, because of the range of debuffs).
I think a while back people were asking for a Tinker class, and I think that would have been a nice hero class for mechagnomes and goblins maybe.
My god, that is detailed and unique…
Hmmm, the closest to this one would probably be the feral druid? Or assassination rogue.
I’m very bummed that we have no tech based class in WoW. Then again… It is medieval-ish fantasy.
Thanks for all these replies. I will find out how it is to be a hunter with engineering then!
these are two completely different games, there is no equivalent to that in wow.
Rogue, hunter or warrior as they are versatile enough to rp how you want to rp.
Rogue would be my personal go to, mischievous little devils.
im sorry to ear that
