I used to think she was an archer, but then they started to call her a priestess of Elune, and after that she demonstrated her skill with warrior weapons and even balance magic. Speaking of multitasking…
Can’t find it now, but it has been stated by devs that lore characters are not bound by the restrictions imposed on the players. That’s why Thrall can wear plate armour even though he’s a shaman, Anduin can both wear plate armour and use a two handed sword despite being a priest etc.
Some characters, don’t have their class, represented in game. Like Vol’Jin, he’s a Shadow Hunter or should I say, I thought, he was. After asking on Google, what class he was, the answer I got, from WoWpedia was: Shadow hunter, Shaman, Witch doctor, Priest.
Yeah sadly a lot of people here don’t understand the word “fun” and would rather this forum be about endless whining.
Sorry to break it to you but he used the Enhancement artifact for the longest time.
That’s “hunter” (ranger forced by game classification as hunter even though lorewise they had nothing to do with hunters until they were shoved into it). While they didn’t really have a melee spec in the past they could still use dagger when their ranged attacks had a minimum range.
Holy, sometimes becoming shadow when playing hearthstone.
He flexes between all specs, as expected of the strongest druid on Azeroth.
Holy priest. She uses a bow and other weapons because NPC privileges (ok actually it’s because priestess of the moon was consolidated into the priest class when they launched WoW but that’s ancient history).
Mandatory reminder that Varian was arms and died because he switched to fury.
As for some of my own additions
Yrel - flexes Ret and Prot paladin
Medivh - Arcane mage turned some sort of warlock at the end of his life (not enough info on his warlocking activity)
Whitemane - Disc priest
Gazlowe - Tinker, maybe one day it will be added to the game
Rexxar - Beastmaster (I refuse to acknowledge him as a Survival hunter just because Blizzard decided it should be the melee spec)
Gul’dan - probably flexes all warlock specs to some extent
Ragnaros - Ret paladin, but with fire elemental racials
Kel’thuzad - Frost mage turned… whatever he is. Frost lich? Does that count as a Frost DK?
I’m still baffled that there are no important good guy warlock characters, literally all of their good guys are in their own questlines. Apart from Tehd Shoemaker I guess but who remembers Tehd?
