What do you want from the expansion AFTER Shadowlands?

There are three main things I’d love:

  • a better unpruning: bring useful things back, instead of niche/RP spells
  • no more borrowed powers, I’m so fed up with this
  • separation of church and sta…uh, I mean, separation of PvP and PvE

What about you?

Vulpera first.

I’m ok with having both at the same time. To be frank, just remove race restrictions from all classes while we’re there, make things simple.

I will definitely want the gameplay, class design and systems feel different compared to this.

Are you sure you want Tauren/Pandaren Demon Hunters running around?

First thing first : Rock solid spec design that purely rely on themselves. Upon reaching level cap, you know what your character can do and it should be functionnal right when the expansion launches. Which means an actual unpruning and removing abilities that no longer make sense, alongside with some specs receiving a proper rework.

Which leads to my second point : No more borrowed power. I get the idea that changing gameplay every single expansion through changing power is nice, because it allows Blizzard to add stuff without going back to overloaded specs (I liked Mop but it’s quite unpopular to say on these forums so…I dare to say it was good, this is just what I think).

Speaking of borrowed power gone, something associated with should also be pruned : Dayli mandatory grind. I do understand that farming is and always has been part of the game. This being said, Blizzard pushed so hard on daily farming that it feels like we are not given a choice, in the way that we must play every single day to keep the character up to date. I am willing to play every day, I just do not want feeling unhappy when I cannot log in a given day.

Remove or rework LFR : it fails in achieving its single purpose. In fact, it should be some sort of easy mode, but some bosses just cannot be that altered so they are impossible in LFR environment.

A proper guild housing : besides Mythic raiding, guilds are nowadays pointless. I do think this is sad and something should be done to revitalize the whole thing. And I am sticking to my guns, a guild housing is a way to incentivize playing and participating in guilds. Guilds should definitely serve other purposes than just Mythic raiding.

Old school blizz back. Creative, passionate, revolutionary content. Not everything rehashed, reskinned, corporate MAU focused lol.

Yes. Gnome DHs too. It would be glorious.

i want

  • return divine intervention to paladins
  • Increase aura importance in paladins
  • MORE AURAS
  • delete DH metamorphosis
  • give metamorphosis to locks
  • warlocks can tame pet demons just like hunters can tame animals and now mechanicals and zombies. if metamorphosis remains in DHs lock can control them as pet for 1 min
  • symbiosis for druids
  • nerf for all melees, moving resets melee swing
  • meaningful content not locked behind arbitrary timed periods
  • banning of all bots
  • banning of all spammers
  • nagas/ogres/highelves/jinuy/arakoa join playable races
  • and more

I would like something like garnison to came back . I really like economy part of This

Some way to make realms more balanced, so that there aren’t these crazy 40k horde 2k alliance realms.
Old World revamp or Other side of azeroth
The seeds being sewn for an invasion by the light

MAGA: Make Azeroth Great Again

No Legendary cloak, ring, necklace, weapon, boots or frying pan that you have to level up throughout the expansion gaining abilities that you have to surrender by the end of the expansion for pve.

Pvp artifact weapon just for pvp.

UI improvements and maybe built-in damage meter.

Demon hunter 3rd spec.

Update old spells. More glyphs for spells.

More relevant professions.

Tbh with most classes I think the unpruning so far is almost there. Some other, newer, classes just need more abilities in general.

Yes, get rid of borrowed power. That is the worst thing to hit WoW, ever, in my opinion.

And yes, PvP and PvE should be separate. Not to the extent that a PvE player cant play PvP but, if they brought back a PvP gearing system like WoD I would be very happy. Allow me to get my honor gear easily and for it to scale up in PvP, that’s fine, because that’s what I enjoy. If I then want to PvE, I’ll go get PvE gear.

I would also like to see them bring back armor sets with set bonuses, for PvP and PvE, that is the only acceptable ‘borrowed power’.

I would also like War Mode to be more engaging. E.g. each zone has PvP objective points to control or to capture a flag to take control of an area for extra rewards like exp increases or rep gains etc. Imagine seeing a horde or alliance running back to base with a flag and thinking “actually I need to attack them” instead of just watching them go by. Maybe if every zone was a bit like Ashran in War Mode it would feel more engaging. Capturing points, advancing your exp gains into the opposite factions territory. For example. 2/3rds of the map might be red for horde, and 1/3rd blue for alliance. If you’re horde, in the red zones you get extra exp / rep / rewards, and in the blue zones alliance get the buffs. Maybe killing opposing players you can loot medallions and turn them in for rewards. Just something, y’know…

Make Class Design, gameplay and combat feel as good as it felt in Wrath, Cata and MoP. Everything else will feel bad if these feel bad. You sure you have best of the best working on these Blizzard?

A Nightelven Capital city.

probably a refund

Vulpera demon hunters

Bard as a new class.

A gearing process like benthic armour for those who play solo.

A story that isn’t quite as grand this time.

The factions to finally get along properly.

A system like legions artefact to return.
That was a lot of fun.
