I would like to do quests on all maps up to lvl 60. So I am thinking that I would stop xp at lvl 59, and go to all that maps to do quests.
But I need to be sure, that once I come to map that is 10-60, that i will be able to pick quests (see them on map nicely). It is nice when quest story guides you where you have to go, so it would be bad if I can not find quests at that level, except randomly.
Can anyone confirm, that on lvl 59 (with exp stop), I would be able to have same questing experience on lvl 10-60 maps, as if I started there at lvl 10.
I know that this may be a silly question, but it is important to me.
A 10-60 area means that all monsters there scale from level 10 to level 60, i.e. the area is intended for leveling in that level range. So yes - if you go there at level 59, all quests there will be visible to you without activating “show low level quests” option.
You don’t have to stop at level 59, though. The quests will remain visible for you at level 60 too. Personally, I’d recommend that you hit level 60 before stopping - you will get an extra talent and you’ll be able to get yourself a flying mount.
Yup, that’s true. But once you outlevel the zone, the quest markers get hidden on your minimap and you need to activate the “show low level quests” option to get that back. Also - the experience itself isn’t really the same as the more you go beyond a monster scaling cut-off point, the more trivial it becomes.
I got the impression that OP wants to basically do all the questing content in the old world at a level that it’s intended for - in which case the best way is to hit 60 and lock the experience there.
I’d suggest to lock the xp at lvl 60, rather than 59, so that you can access the lvl 60 quests too.
keep in mind that you can toggle the option for “trivial quests” on your minimap to still be able to see them even at lvl 120.
It’s threads like this that makes me smile, not because of the question but because you know that they see this game from a starter’s eyes, something I miss.
On contrary to what others suggested here is something to also consider: you will most likely level multiple characters, so keep some zones unfinished otherwise leveling will become very repetitive very fast.
If the question is about seeing the quest signs, then you can click on the magnifying glass at the minimap. There, you can click on “Trivial Quests” (make sure it’s checked). Then, you can see any and all quests at your level or below, also level 1 quests even if you are 120
Another plus for locking XP at level 60 is that the vanilla dungeons are still available in the dungeon finder. As soon as you hit 61 those disappear from the Looking For Group tool.
