What gear should I go for?

Hey, oldschool solo/casual player here. Been a while since I played, got a new computer that can handle more than solitaire and sim games.

I’ve been catching up on expansions, and am now in the Dragon Isles, fully aware my gear is still terrible.

What stats/gear should I be aiming for?

I don’t do PvP, and I rarely do endgame content.

Also, I know it’s likely not optimal, but, i would rather use a sword than a staff if there are any decent caster swords around, I’ve always liked the idea of being a sword-weilding warlock in this game.

Haste til you get to 25-30% then depending on your spec you either go mastery or crit.
Sometimes going to 35% haste is also good, one of the warlock specs that benifit from it is destro as you do alot of casting.
But with demo crit and mastery start to overcome haste when you have reached roughly 30% haste, as around this mark you will start to receive diminishing returns. (you lose like 10% of the total stat sum)

Best an easiest way to no brain on what you need is to stat weight sim your character on raidbots.
