What GPU/CPU are you using?

I’m just curious about your setup! I rock my rx 580 8gb OC rog strix with a Ryzen 3600x. When prices are better I would love to upgrade to UW screen and RTX30xx, but will not pay for overpriced gear as long my setup deliver good 1080p,144hz gaming.

How about you?

Nothing fancy here and quite outdated too.
Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 980, 16gb DDR4 and a 144hz screen.

I won’t upgrade my gpu until it breaks!
(Also, I play Wow on GPU settings 5 )

Also using the Ryzen 5 3600 but with a rtx 2070 super (got it for 500 back then)
16 gb RAM from Corsair and and my trusty ASRock Mainboard.

Edit : gsync monitor 144 hz… , Never want to go back XD

I’m ashamed to say, but it runs. :man_shrugging:

Because many will come here for advice, this game is for practical purposes almost dual-threaded only so you don’t need 100 cores: you need extremely fast cores; so get anything that nowadays has at least 6 full (non-hyperthreaded) cores that are fast and you’ll be fine.

For GPU you don’t need anything monstrous either if it’s for 1080p but don’t get anything too crap because it’s easy to clutter the screen with spammy spells.

Cool post!

Ryzen 5 3600@4.2
RTX2060S - currently having a very chill life because my monitor died so using an old LCD which doesn’t even to 1080P! Was playing WoW@4K on my TV also! Paid £320 for it!

Want to upgrade the GPU but refuse the prices

3600x and a 3070 ti, was rocking a 5700xt which was fine FPS wise. Man that graphics card was such a nightmare though. Literally every game but WoW I had to tweak like crazy, do loads of reg edits and software tuning to stop all the crashes. It’s more then fine for me, get around 144fps 1440p in pretty much any game out.

Playing WoW at 2K almost maxed out (I few settings turned down one level)
FPS locked at 100 (I like a quiet machine, so the GPU remains at <60degrees and almost silent)

Mine is just a lowly
Ryzen 3700x
With Asus GTX 1060 6Gb OC Rog Strix

Was due to upgrade to a 3080 but we all know what happened on launch and after that, and now its way too overpriced for me to care.

Asus GTX 1080 ti.

Great some years ago, decent today, in need of an overhaul soon. Supply shortages and price increases complicate matters.
