I think i fked up my points in leatherworking.
If i unlearn leatherworking And learn alchemy instead? Should i be able to do profession questy for alchemy? Or its gone and i need stick with now useless Leatherworking with Wrong point distribution.
Not tried for this expansion but speaking from experience of previous expansions, you will get alchemy quest.
I’m assuming you are worried about whether you can max out knowledge points in a new profession instead.
As far as I can tell you will be able to get most of the ones for a new prof but you may lose a few based on how far you got in LW.

So realistically you may only be behind max a few points depending on how many shards you already spent.
IIRC, you will have enough points to learn all sub-specializations of your profession in time. That means you may have f*d you LW progression for now, but not permanently

No, the Talents are locked.
You unlearn your profession, your Talents remain where you put them. All that happens is you lose all your skill.
It’s a terrible system locking people in place like that. I can’t imagine how many people have messed up their Talents already. I would certainly make changes given the chance.
Now, I appreciate that they don’t want people to exploit the ability to change talents depending on what they are crafting. So any ability to change talents should be extremely limited. But it needs to be an option.
