This server was balanced at classic what happened to it?I couldnt find single alliance at sw or shattrath city .Is there any free transfer or something to do?
Apes quit so the horde majority steamrolled ally, happens all the time
Horde abandoned their dead realms and went to Gehennas, which imbalanced the realm to the point where it was 16k Horde, 4k Alliance.
So the Alliance moved to Firemaw.
Long live PCT!
I have 9k gold in my char dont know what to do with it.Dont wanna pay 25 euro transfer fee even i do that cant transfer all my gold to new server because there is 5k gold limit for transfered chars. That sucks
Gigantique bags from Haris Pilton aren’t bound to you until you equip them, they’re 1.2k each.
You can buy 3 of those, then sell them on your new realm. Players wont pay 1.2k each so you’ll lose some gold, but you won’t lose 4k. Either that, or buy cheap mats from the remaining bots on the realm and transfer with those.
Almost all servers were balanced during classic. A few months of tbc and it looked like retail servers since they don’t want to limit server transfers. Also they should have definetly made the free transfers from the dead servers faction specific but Blizzard didn’t care about that (too much effort I suppose).
Would not count on free alliance specific transfers off Gehennas. Hopefully they will do some radical changes in WoTLK to the servers since at this point PvP servers don’t mean anything when the faction is 99.9% of the server, might aswell just play on Mirage Raceway at this point.
Pretty much.
The human male won. APES quit, and the alliance assembled under their true leader Tetsu on Firemaw. Long live the human male!
If you need to transfert golds across server, use Large Prismatic Shard.
Buy everything on your old server and resell everything once your migration is done.
They are bought instantly in AH on mega-server due to the amount of enchant necessary for all players.
Outside of that, Gehennas died due to a serie of events :
- Maitoz, the leader of APES, left the game before T5.
- APES disband followed.
- SALAD BAKERS swapped to Horde side for TBC to change and get the best PvE racials.
- Random players left Gehennas due to the insane amount of Horde and no guilds to protect them.
- Most of theses players changed server for Firemaw, a future one-sided Alliance server.
- Gehennas died and is now one-sided for Horde.
Anyway, we will never forget APES. Best Classic Vanilla guild, period. Speedrun is for the plebe, 23 hours Scarab Lord for the gods.
Was playing as Horde and it was a blast to play against them.
RIP APES.
The APES fanboys left the server after the guild disbanded. Most of them left for Firemaw.
Soon, Firemaw will suffer the same fate as Gehennas - only in reverse - so you’ll have two mono-faction megaservers, and Blizzard won’t be able to merge them, unfortunately, because it would be morbidly overpopulated, but also because at the slightest of disadvantage, the faction with 5% less players would give up and either migrate to a server with no enemies, or quit.
This is the problem with WoW players. Roll on PvP servers when they absolutely cannot handle the game mechanics of PvP, and throw their toys out of the pram when they are killed a couple of times out in the world.
PvE pansies, man. Unbelievable.
It’s amazing how a over populated faction can die because of 2 guilds ._.
Alliance went to Firemaw, Horde came to Gehennas.
Wasn’t just two guilds, it was mostly because the Horde from other realms went to Gehennas.
After Noggenfogger Alliance all jumped ship, almost the entire Horde faction went to Gehennas. A few went to Firemaw, but most to Gehennas.
I assume it was the same for a lot of other dead realms.
blizz didnt fix it ofc
the only fix is F R E S H
Don’t get him started, he’s only just got over his last ban.
they all ran away from horde gankers so they took plane and migrated to firemaw
Gehennas was never balanced, was 1:2 A:H ratio but on Ally side played best guilds and after they quitted (because Blizz retail developers made all Classic trivial) Ally started to move or to quit too.
When Ally goes under 25% nothing could be done, Horde prevail and Blizzard did nothing to save server (they like so much if one side goes down so those players are forced to PAY transfers and that makes Blizzard happy).
Blizzard can in easy way to save servers where balance is above 2:1 with MERGE with servers where is balance opposite… but as I mention above they like so much when players got pain in game and PAYING transfers.
Unfortunately money appetite above game quality ruined Blizzard company completely…
Micro$oft, please help us !!!
also ruined vanilla and force even more paid transfers by keeping dead realms up without provide help/solution
