When doing the quest “Mistress of lies” Yazma kills and takes Shadra’s power. She says “By the old ways, I claim your power as my own” (which I assume means killing a loa and then taking their power).
But then in Atal’Dazar we kill Yazma. Couldn’t we have claimed her powers then the old way? Does someone else go in and take the Loa’s power after we are done with her?
Or will she return somehow like the Torga the turtle loa? Anyone been able to find any information on this?
Generally it’s believed Loa will come back after a certain amount of time. Torga somehow just cheated with a scroll of reincarnation.
Loa are Wild Gods and the Wild Gods have returned after dying and such.
my guess is by killing yazma and free shadra essence she can return in time. rezan will not because we did not strike Dazar down
Blizzard made quite clear that Yazma had no idea what she was talking about, when she said that this would be permanent for Shadra, and they said that Loa were personifications of natural forces, that can’t really be killed for good. Watch here:
