Can we please get a skip in Mythic BoD similar to EN, Nighthold, ToS and Antorus. A skip to let’s say… Mekkatorque, right after you’ve done the Alliance segment of the raid. Would make farming Mounts for our raiders less tedious. Thank you.
I’m fine with no skips in raids if there’s less than 10 bosses. Clearing the place takes like an hour on both normal and heroic max if your group doesn’t suck. LFR takes even less time.
I feel like you missed the point. I’m not talking about Heroic, Normal or LFR. Those difficulties don’t have a mount from Jaina. I’m talking about Mythic, as i clearly stated in the post.
All raids in Legion had a skip, also the ones with <10 bosses like EN(7 bosses) and ToS(9 bosses).
I know they had a skip, and I don’t think they were necessary. You’re right that I overlooked the fact that you were specifically talking about mythic, but there’s also the mekkatorque mount that I was thinking more of.
And honestly, it’s still not that big of a deal. You can clear the whole raid on mythic in one 3 hour raid if it’s on farm for you. I’m also like 99% sure the 100% mount drop isn’t going to go anywhere until next expansion, so there’s no need to hurry.
So you’re saying 3 hours vs the 10-15mins we had to do on Elisande+Guldan in NH, and the 25-30mins on Garothi+Aggra+Argus is not a big deal? To do 25 times, even when the content is no longer relevant for you?
A lot of excellent guilds still take a long time to clear, ie 6 hours.
A skip is just QoL, seems Blizz is against that in their urge to get people clocked in to grind.
Yeah, I would probably make an effort to raid a lot more but who can be bothered wasting an hour a week clearing bosses for no reason.
Our boost run for HC usually takes close to 2 hours with 4-8 buyers and a full mythic roster, i doubt most guilds clear HC faster, even without buyers.
Great, so 3hrs/week just so one person of the roster gets a mount.
Sacrificing progress in a new tier to fully reclear Jaina for mounts is garbage though. I’d love if they added a skip.
I don’t think you’d be sacrificing anything, though. During the last tier of this expansion I’m sure that you can breeze the raid without much difficulty. It’s how I got my Gul’dan mythic mount (arranged a clear each week for mythic Nighthold with mostly casual players from the guild).
I’m also not directly opposed to having skips, I just don’t think Blizzard needs to add them to the current tier, and I disagree with the reasoning that mythic guilds deserve them so they could farm mounts.
1 isn’t too bad, but if you’re unlucky you’d be running 2 old raids + current tier assuming the next 2 ones will drop a mount as well. Doing full runs of 3 raids is going to be very annoying.
We did Gul’dan runs too, but those only took about 15 minutes because we could skip to Elisande. It will be tough to find people for 2 full extra raid clears each week, and unless changed the mounts won’t have a 100% droprate with less than 20 people either.
The skips were a huge QoL for all difficulties that just disappeared for no reason.
