What happened to the Horde?

So, as the title says, what exactly happened to the Horde?

I know in the past they were the majority and Horde won in PVP/WPVP way more than Alliance.

Now, from my personal experience and what I see on the US/EU forums or Reddit, it seems that it’s the opposite.

Horde is kind of losing everything. What exactly happened? Did everyone switch to Alliance overnight?

well…

All our leaders keep getting killed off…
The ones that remain go depressed or become a councillor to the Alliance heroes…
If we do get some spotlight, it’s as Alliance Sidekicks
We lost some of our cities…

Now we’re BFFs with the Alliance apparently, following some dwarven family drama telenovela on an island.

That’s because no one really cares about faction war

Is faction war (story trope) related directly inseparably to pvp (game mode)? Answer wisely

I doubt there would be as much world PvP back in the day without it. Always a lot of for the horde and for the alliance being yelled at crossroads and south shore

Of course it is.
You picked a faction for a reason, not just a random button click.
You played team red or team blue because you liked their side of the story.

A lot of people rerolled to Alliance cause they no longer felt The Horde being the Horde.
There’s always the FOTM rerollers that bounce about because of some class ability of racial trait.

But the majority of people of people simply left their initially chosen faction.

Yeah because blood elves look pretty.
Race look pretty - pick race, faction is a bonus, that’s how most people did it, proof - amount of blood elves on horde side

:dracthyr_shrug: If that was your decision, fine.
Definitely a driving factor for some people.

…I don’t get it…

As Alliance has anything worth …at least in the last 2 expansions i played…

A faction without leaders…a 30 years old man** baby that because of DEI is the average drama queen … It’s even worse that the new series have added on Netflix and i unsub 2 months ago .

Alliance became the de facto “pvp faction” back in the release of Wrath when humans got EMFH.
Then, when faction change became available, PvPers all gradually went alliance, and the trend somewhat peaked in MoP/WoD.

Trend was somewhat reversing in Legion with arcane torrent, but that got nerfed hard in BFA prepatch.

No i’m actually was going for faction fantasy, my first char was undead, it’s just statistics speak that most people don’t care about it since… tbc

Alliance won the iconic war, nobody wants to play the loser side.

People went woke and started playing woke alliance races and furries.

Horde was never good in PVP. Don’t know what OP’s smoking.

There are more omnivorous humans in the world than there are vegetarians, by a country mile. We just don’t scream and shout about it as we are too busy enjoying our smashed burgers. Nom nom!

Now that you can do PvE cross-faction, I had no reason to remain on Horde. :nail_care:

I always wanted a high elf, and now I have a dozen!
