It’s really dead, can’t find any groups, barely any people online.
It was not merged, it was not the destination of the merge, new people will go to fresh servers. And now there aren’t even free transfers from big servers to here? Are you planning on closing it? Or is it abandoned???
There was a loophole that let you transfer off for free to almost any realm for a while, so that is why it is empty. As to what Blizzard is going to do about it? Too little, too late, as always…
So other servers have unreasonable queues, while this one is left for dead… great.
Did the situation improved after the WotLK launch?
Game client show the realm as high population thus I assume it’s not as bad as it was approximately month ago.
That would be shame if they completely ruined the Ashbringer realm.
This was probably the only realm where population on both factions were roughly the same since the launch of WoW Classic. At least till the end of December 2021.
I took break from WoW and when I returned for WotLK Classic I find out that is realm was practically completely empty at some point.
I make a big mistake and transfered to this server from locked one. Server status says its “full”, but in reality its empty. No way to make group quests
This simply isn’t true Coldhunger, I have no issue getting groups for any content I want for the majority of the day. 2am -7am is quiet, but that is the only time.
Pop-wise it’s 80/20 rising to 72/28 at prime time but it is very horde dominant. There is world PvP, plenty of pug raids if you adhere to their ludicrous GS requirements and a lot of heroics at prime times.
The community isn’t as nice because of the number of people that joined, but you always get that.
Are you serious? Horde player complain about Ashbringer being empty?
It certainly is not one of the most populated realms, but also nowhere near empty as it was before WotLK launch.
Also as mentioned above, big number of horde players moved here to avoid login queues, so you really have nothing to complain about.
BTW Ironforge is very slow to update the realm status and thus might be inaccurate.
Anyone using Ironforge and other raid logging software as a metric is going to have wildly inaccurate pop numbers anyway as you said Dalteon.
Queue first week and if you coult not handle it you stuck on a dead server gz!
Blizzard really don’t care and now you can not move back, your best bet is pay to move to a semi dead server instead of a totally dead one.
