What would happen to My rep if i change my faction. Is my exalted rep with the honorbound going to just change into the ally One?
And all the other ones as well?
Do I have to do it all again?
Reputation with existing Factions will swap over to the respective counterpart on the other side.
Had the same worry myself when transferring my Shaman to Alliance. You should be completely fine. Story resets so even there there is a chance for my reputation (unless I am mistaken).
All in all, you’ll not lose any rep. It’ll all transfer over to it’s respective Faction on the other side.
You lose pretty much all of it. I faction changed once during cataclysm and back in mop with my oldest char.
I lost pretty much all rep.
i lost achievements.
I lost mounts like the brewfest kodo as well. wich then never ever dropped again for me afterwards
Faction changing and race changing isnt worth it if so much is going to be removed from your acc. Faction change is the whole reason i gave up on ever completing the lore master and exploration achievements. because i cba to do it again
Every faction exclusive reputation have an alternative in the opposite faction that is switched when you change faction. There is only one horde faction and one alliance faction that is lost, tranquillien and wintersaber trainers.
Hard to believe, every achievement also have an equivalent achievement in the other faction that is switched when faction change, the only achievement that are lost are those from Icecrown Tournament because the quest chain is reset.
Brewfest kodo is not even a faction specific mount… Also every other mount that is faction exclusive have an alternative in the other faction, back them when mounts were not account bound the mounts were always switched to the other faction version. Today when you learn one mount the other faction version is added to your account automatically, you can check by making a DK in the other faction.
There is no relation between exploration achievements and faction changes, exploration achievements are all neutral because every player can travel to every zone except some initial zones, but those initial zones are not even part of exploration achievements.
I don’t think i have ever seen so much misinformation before.
I’ve faction changed multiple times in the past, i never lost anything, the only thing that gets reset is the “story” progression.

Hmmm… dunno what whould Anduin do, but ptr shows that if you faction change away from Sylv, her undying grace will kill you and arrest your Tauren friend!

It’s converted to 7th Legion rep, yes. And yes, that does mean you can faction change to unlock the other faction’s allied races, too.
You better give blizz a call and ask for a restoration project (“service” would be to small for such a huge loss of stuff)
