What happens to stuff if you uninstall WoW?

Hey.

I am currently not really playing war within much and it’s a massive storage hog.

What happens to stuff like addon settings, UI settings, Macro’s & Keybinds if you uninstall WoW ?

Does all that stuff stay saved for when you reinstall WoW ?

From my experience, No.

Makros are saved. UI setting iirc they are. Keybinds are locally. Add-on Settings are definataly locally.

I usually copy the addon/config folder when reinstalling/uninstalling. Also handy when the game decides to reset your settings out of nowhere.

You’ll want to backup the INTERFACE, WTF and CACHE folders.

If you really want to squeeze out as much as possible from your storage space .zip them into a max possible compression… it’s all .txt files so they’ll shrink considerably.
