What happens to the Naga now

N´zoth dead, Azahara kind of free, but she has no true kingdom now, so what happens to the naga now, will the seek out new allies, or make a truce whit the inhabitants of Azeroth.
Azhara her self still seeks power that is for sure, but I also think she wants revenge now against Sylvanas whom kind of betrayed her also, But problem is who would even be Willing to ally them self whit the Naga, the night elfs, doubt that, they aint that fond of them at all, any other race whom might, probably not, becuse the Naga kind of made enemies of all, exept maby the Demonhunters, where some Naga are allied whit them, but they are again kind of lacking Illidan who was the one who got them to join.

There probably are some groups of Naga that might manage to ally them selfs whit eighter alliance or horde, but Azahara is a problem, she is megalomaniac and seem to still think she is the greatest person ever to live.

The Naga could transform back into Night Elves and join the Alliance. That would solve the extinction problem of the Night Elves too.

Hopefully they go somewhere far away and stay there and never show their ugly fish mugs again. I’m tired of the naga.

I’m honestly sick of Naga. They’re the most overused villains next to demons. And never pose a threat for their own expansion. They’re more of nuisances. Better kill them off for good.

“They can’t live in the outside world forever” so they went home.

Or we can make them a new allied race, just like they did with Zandalari!

well problem whit the naga is that, beeing tired of seeing them or not, they are one major part of the hole Warcraft lore, and even if they would be scrapped for an expansion or two, it would not take to long before someone else exept me ponders what happend to them, and want a conclusion.

For ten thousand years we didn’t see much of any plan from the naga, and they were just one of many minor foes out there. A conclusion within a few years is really not something that should reasobably be expected, if we are going by their role in lore.

That said… Lore doesn’t really determine when we hear more about them anyways, but author’s whims, and I guess the Naga are still on their minds as well. Maybe they’ll appear in connection with Helya, considering that we still have to learn about Helya’s role in Sylvanas’ plot, Azshara seemed to have known and opposed Sylvanas’ endgame, and we knew about a war between Kvalldir and Naga+Old God forces as far back as Cata. So there would be plenty of room to use them in this storyline.

They love Azshara. Azshara is our friend now. So, they really can be a new allied race. People were saying that they will have problems with mounts. But what if we will gave them a possibility to transform in to Night Elves, just like Azshara can?
For example in no combat or on the mount, they will be in Night Elves body, while in combat as Naga. Just like worgens.

Wait, aren’t many of your Nightelven collegeus against redeeming genocidal maniacs?
Or is Azshara okay because she was a hot Nightelf once, even though she is the one who invited the Legion and proceeded to kill of most of her own people. And after she lost she took her followers to the Tentacle-Transformation to continue fighting the remaining Nightelves.

There was really only a handful of Night Elves who became naga, being Azshara’s court when they were first transfromed. Most naga were born that way and have only ever known the naga way of life. If it is even possible to transform them, I doubt many if any would be interested in even doing so.

You mean except the whole ocean they ruled over enslaving sea giants, Markruras, Murlocs?
Or at least the Empire of Nazjatar they built quietly under ten thousand years?
Not to mention the aquatic nightamres like Ozumat and co.
They will be fine, don’t worry
But I would love them as an AR, Horde AR… after all we already have all the other noble elves, the renamed Blood elven Quel’Dorei and the Shal’Dorei… the true Highborne (even in snake form) would be fitting… not to mention the Blood elves owe a big one to the Naga… namely their very surival. Without Lady Vashj the Blood Elves would be corpses or undead…
The Zandalarai and the Nazjatar Empire as soverign allies would solidify the Horde position (wich is a bit shaky at the moment)

I really don’t want to get ugly Naga. Give me Tol’vir instead.

Kitty-people would blow their mind my dear friend
Sadly, lots of people wasn’t ready even for the “cute” fox people , the Vulpera… claming they are not fitting for the Howd!
And tend to forget, the little foxes are from a desert where Trolls send trolls to DIE… yet the Vulpera survived, endure and remained strong, even after some of them were enslaved by quasi immortal snakes (well at least theri leader lived a minimum of 16k years… the Kaldorei empire not even existed, nor the Night elven race)
The vulpera is way more Horde than your average simple minded peon working on the pig farms that feeds the grounts…
Anyhow, back on topic, Tol’vir… would be cool or the Anubisath, both race are Titan-forged (or at least 2nd gen titan-forged, coming from the Forge of Wills) altered by a bit by the Curse of Flesh…
Or Mogu on these lines… they secretly added the female mogu so… there is hope

Truer words have never been spoken <3

Ouch. Okay, I get it now, Hordies, sorry you have to endure this humiliation.

Still not as bad as Void Elves, though. Or any elf, really.

This creature is why genociding the Horde is the morally correct decision.

It is unlikely the Naga and Illidari will form up. Only a small splinter of the Naga under Lady Vashj joined Illidan, and the Illidari are an order of only a few thousand members that currently have no ambition of forming a kingdom or nation of their own. Without Illidan the Illidari are simply demon killing specialists, not the elite guard of the lord of Outland.

If Azshara is still around, it’s very probable the Naga will return to her.

We have to keep in mind that for the last 10,000 years, Azshara has been the political, spiritual and cultural leader of the Naga. Their entire society has been molded and built around her. In all fairness, she can probably be compared to a god in the minds of most naga; an inseparable piece of their race that’s been with them from the beginning. For a naga to imagine a world without their empress is probably akin to us imagining a world where the sun does not rise.

For the naga, removing Azshara cannot be compared to removing a king or president that’s ruled for a few 4-50 years. Having been the undisputed ruler of the naga for 10,000 years since the beginning, she’s arguably been one of the corner stones of their society, and we can expect the naga to be lost without her.

If Azshara is gone, then she’ll have left no heir; and we can expect the naga empire to descend into chaos, confusion and crumble into lesser, petty factions squabbling amongst themselves; lacking the cooperation and organization to threaten the surface world in any real sense, at least for many centuries to come.
