If I create a new DK and DH the day before prepatch hits, will they be higher level then someone who creates one the next day?

I have read, but I do not know for certain, that you have to have left the starting area. That is minimal levelling though.

might change in the future though. if i were you i d just quest out of the starter area. best caste you re not getting scaled down too much, worst case you have already done the starter area and can jump right into leveling.

If you log in on that characters before the prepatch then they will be scaled accordingly from 55 and 98. If you don’t log in at all after creating them then they will be level 8 when prepatch hits.

True, therefore, it is a good idea to create a DH or DK before the pre-patch and benefit from the level squish. Lvl 98 DH will be squished to lvl 39 and lvl 55 DK will be squished to lvl 23. Both options are away higher than in SL and its pre-patch so it is easy to recommend people to start those characters now and perhaps play the quite short tutorial on top of that as well.
As demonhunter with heirlooms you end up at around lvl 107 after starter zone, so after squish thats got to be pretty good.
