What happens with The Burning Crusade?

Are we going to have one TBC Server available for those who want to play it?

No. No TBC Era servers, that was long announced. Even this forum transfered into Wrath as did all servers (in prepatch state).

I guess Private servers will be again solution to that.

Why they don’t let Classic Servers from each Expansion, so it doesn’t become the fail as currently “Retail” is?

This was meant to be Classic only, not Retail.

I always thought that they would add something like personal progression. With classic era servers, tbc era servers, wotlk era servers where you could begin on any era you want and when you are done with content on that era you could transfer your char to new era at any time you want. Not sure if this would be sustainable population-wise but would be very likely better than sealed/no era servers like now.

Everything past Wotlk was disasters, like Cataclysm etc.

If they did evolve this one into Wotlk without allowing us the option like Classic had, then there is no point investing my time into something which will become Cataclysm in near Future.

RIP TBC, I have to say I didn’t enjoy it as much as I thought I would so not a huge loss for me.
Of course Blizz is partly to blame with their god damn level boosts, store mounts, zero faction balance efforts, same faction BGs etc…
So it wasn’t only a rose tinted glasses issue.

Store Mounts are not any issue and Faction balance is beyond their control hence it is up to people to choose what to play.

But definitely Level Boosts shouldn’t exist.

Only because they choose it to be so, because it’s more profitable for them.
Bad faction balance generates a lot of revenue from server transfers.
I can think of 50 easy ways to promote faction balance, so can you and so can Blizz, definitely.
But oh well, at this point it really is beating on a dead horse.

I suppose they made a business decision, based on popularity levels of Classic / SoM.
There is some cost associated with this, namely additional clients to maintain.

I suppose that for the vast majority this is fine. There is a recurring argument about splitting the community. The best a hardcore BC fan can hope for is a reboot, a next cycle when they go through the expansions again.

I’d personally hope that they find a way to create a megaclient supporting all versions - they already share data files between retail and BC. Also much of the UI could be shared: WideQuestLog, Auctionator, Recount functionality could simply be baseline, with stuff like Questie and AtlasLoot optional.

Copium based on my personal experience of a late comer, BC wasn’t a good version as such. Specs are between Classic and WLK, not a huge loss. Leveling will be available in WLK. When I hit 70, I’ve hit a hard wall, the lack of catch up mechanics. Sure, I could have done it, but with the majority moving on to WLK, this becomes an actual issue.
In return, this may look like people don’t enjoy BC. Despite all my propaganda, I’m not actually playing the 70 endgame.
