The end of DF Season 1 with the Retpocalypse would be quite high.
Always the current one for that specific reason.
Honestly, there were a lot of trash seasons, each for their individual reason. Last season it was Retapocalypse, SL S4 was way too short with almost no inflation, SL S2 becaue everyone and their mom got glad, BFA S4 corruptions, etc. It’s up to the individual person which season he would deem the worst.
Season 1 was fine, season 2 is 60 min w8 time.
Have only played S2 (or was it 3?) of BFA, S1 and prepatch in SL and a bit DF. Imo BFA was the worst by far because PvP gearing was… well what PvP gear?
SL PvP gearing was bad and DF Shuffle is a flop but both of them are still far, far better than BFA in my opinion. It’s unusual because we tend to remember the good things and forget about the bad things but I really can’t remember anything good about BfA, it was completely miserable for PvP.
u r delusional, SL retri was even worse, and that doesn’t even come close to bfa
I don’t think I’ll ever get Gladiator being honest
but that mount was one of the best they’ve done imo
BFA S4 and SL S4, who played, knows exactly what I am talking about.
DF S1 was fine, rated pvp was dead and deflated sadly so I didn’t play at all, only solo.
BfA season 4, destro locks and firemages were op especially destro lock. Only defensive against them was hiding behind pillars, they were immortal till deep damp.
Demonhunters had evasion attached to Blade Dance
Gushing Wounds.
Enough said…
according to the majority of the forums, the worst season is always the one we are playing right now.
Any BFA season because you needed to play world quests and M+ to stay relevant in PvP.
This, in Bfa there was no stat template and no vendor either. Your best Pvp gear was from Mythic raid/m+ titanforge rng haha. And broken Trinkets too, like that one from opulence for example and few other tank trinkets that could be abused. Also mechagon trinket before hotfix. Sword from King rest m+ did 7-10% of my dmg in pvp as i was lucky to have it from Weakly chest max item lvl pretty much. Corruptions with 80%+ versa where my greatest feat is Tanking Full burst of RMP in smoke bomb without using single deff and they only took me down to 70% hp barely as there was essence that doubled your versa in stuns. Like just to see how broken it is i stopped using all my deffs in arena/healing myself nobody would be able to kill me with such high versa ever anyways. Game was just riddiculous. But ngl i was super lucky with corruptions, i got all of them way ahead of the curve.
I skipped the entire expansion, following news from Reddit and the forums only.
They lost me the moment they added a GCD to every ability and announced even more pruning after the carnage that was Legion.
Yeah.
BFA is probably the least PvP friendly expansion ever released.
WoD is probably the best.
bfa s2 and s3, followed by bfa s4.
Id have to say SL S3, although i hated all SL seasons. Borrowed power, absurd grind and walmart legendaries that were mandatory n forced me to buy wow tokens to even play the damn game.
S3 in particular is my most hated because of the god damn fury warriors, abit hypocritical on that one since im infact playing fury myself currently n its quite oppressive now aswell although SL fury was a whole other level of disgusting n at the time i wasnt playing it myself so i was on the reciving end of the ogga bogga train.
Its worth noting though that everyone complains about every single season, not a single exception to that rule. Ask ret mains n they all secretely think S1 after 10.07 was the best season in wow history. Good season tends to mean “the class i main is op” to most people. I will actually say that outside of a things such as the retpocalypse i´ve enjoyed DF alot from a PvP perspective. Primarly due to PvP vendors, no mandatory grinds n no borrowed power but also more active balancing than we´ve ever seen in WoW PvP before.
The current deflation n dk being what they are is a shame but im not gonna let that take away from the fact that im still having a genuinely good time with DF and i feel like we have a quite good class n spec diversity.
I havent played BfA so I can’t relate but SL altogteher was a clusterfk clownfiesta.
First, you needed to grind the rep sorry renown for your covenant so you get access to the soulbinds and their nodes(and later to upgrade them).
You picked the “wrong” covenant? Well too bad, no invites for you , and switching a covenant meant you’re back to square 1 because renowns were separate for each, as you could guess. This was made easier later on with the catch up mechanics.
Then you had to grind world quests to get the sockets for those nodes.
Then you needed a legendary, and for that you had to grind Torghast AND either be a lego crafter yourself or buy them for stupid amounts of gold (from an average player perspective).
Not only that but to actually get your legendary power you first had to unlock itby earning the memory for it and let me tell you that up until they made catch up mechanics available, tuned drop rates and made all Torghast wings available , it was a pain in the back, to say the least.
You think we’re done? Oh no.
Now comes PvP gear. You bought it, good, then you HAD to upgrade it because PvP scaling also went up with the upgrades. A fully upgraded honor set ended up costing around 200k honor. Same for conquest gear.
Then comes the cherry on top of the diarrhea shake: The balance, or better said, the lack of of it. People were disappearing in globals(covenant abilities are fun huh?)
Certain mechanics, like the infamous Night Fae Pod that let you cheat death (and the pod itself could be BoPed/Sac’d resulting in a guaranteed comeback), and had funny interactions like you didn’t drop the orbs in Kotmogu when it procced, or the great Holy Priest invasion when it was buffed and folks started to use the rez lego in arenas, resurrecting their teammates in spirit form, and then themselves.
Things went from bad to worse when they re-introduced class sets as the damage numbers went further trough the roof…
But the worst of all was the Maw introduction quest and the fact that the skip option was introduced at the end of the expansion.
So yeah, SL was really bad
It’s easier to ask what the last good season was god knows
BFA was sh1t show, just terrible. As gent’s before mentioned, PVE trinkets, corruptions, machine guns destro locks, gushing wounds + DH, had to do raiding for trinkets ect.
What’s this
I find myself agreeing with you more and more
Sorcery!
Times change
Yeah I fully support this. This was the worst for me in my opinion.
The haste for warlocks and the gushing wound bleed ticks…
Never take me there again
BFA Season 4, without a doubt.
