I like PvE so some MMORPG with PvE aspect.
I’m fed up with disconnects and lags.
Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV are popular choices. Guild Wars 2 is quite WoW-like also.
I can heartily recommend RunEscape. A better gaming experience is hard to find!
Glad to make feel you worse wow has best customer support and least amount of dcs/lags in the world.
There is nothing with even close amount of PvE content.

SWTOR and GW2 are worthwhile if you got some time to kill.
First time I ever saw and walked inside Divinity’s Reach I was blown away by it, truly one of the most beautiful cities in any game I’ve ever played.

GW2 is the best alternative but I still agree to Holystyle.

I went on a “mmorpg tour” , grom GW2 to Final Fantasy and other choices, , to even Rift and other “worth” trying mmorpgs. They all had some unique things BUT NONE of them had that “something” WoW still has for me. I liked Guild Wars 2 but it turns out when you reach max lvl YOU decide progression. Wanna do raids? Get Ascend gear and btw Ascend gear drop from raids LUL. So you gotta cratf it which means grind grind grind for resources. They have M+ system called Fragments
Final Fantasy is story based MMORPG, I mean they offer story skips for like 25 euros for a reason. Tera was okay and Rift was fun but its currently labeled as DEAD so more and more ppl dont give a fck,it didnt felt worth to progress

I don’t find I stick at any of them, I inevitably just miss WoW and come back.
Nothing can really hold up against WoW overall, but Eso is ‘best’ of the competition imo.
Gw2 is cool too, ONLY, if you don’t mind that theres no real gear progression, only collecting skins, with majority of best ones locked behind paywall “hurray”.
Elder scrolls online is an amazing game if you can get past the combat system.

To be honest go and try a few, see what you like. People are all different.
Final fantasy has anime like characters that ruin immersion and make my eyes bleed
eso unfortunate trash factions that make no sense plus terrible character talent system
guild wars 2 makes little sense lore speaking but at least offers a variety of good story telling
i can only add lotro but it’s outdated and in maintenance mode, waiting for the new lotr mmo now
I feel like it is full of emptiness.
I still love Stormwind more.
After all, it’s been built on rock and roll.
