Rare agreement with Valley, but yes. Race, ethnicity and nationality are different things. You can be racist towards an ethnicity, which is one of the modern definitions of racism – it’s not just tied to race anymore (which in of itself is also a social construct; there was a time when Irish people were excluded from being considered white due to racist ideologies). Irish people have historically been subjected to racism, and you absolutely can be racist to them these days as well.

It being American history aside, the 1850s, 1860s and 1870s in America were an incredibly interesting period of time for Irish history. “Irish need not apply” signs were hung all around the northern states, so Irishmen had to compete for freedmen with what little badly paying manual labour jobs there were, leading to the Irish in turn being some of the most anti-black people in the entirety of the states.
This also continued well into the 20th century - the first two incarnations of the tripple K group staunchly opposed Irish and Catholic immigrants and Lovecraft, for an easy example, had some rather spicy things to say about the Irish.
While I do support your “path to redemption”, I do think you can be both happier and more peaceful without responding to every comment you’re mentioned in.
To echo Valteryl, it sort of gives off the impression that you’re being insincere.

I’ll take accountability, and apologise when need be, and forgive when apologies are made, but I wont be ordered around by some, or hide everything I feel/think, just a different less argumentative approach in future.

Being argumentative is alright at times.
It’s important to keep an eye on tone (sometimes things can come off as aggressive and this isn’t exclusive to you) and know when to walk away.

Agreed 100% on that, that is something I seek to work on everyday, something probably everyone should always strive for, not just me, none of us are perfect, many of us are tempted into being too opinionated at times.

It’s definitely a nuanced topic, but I also think it’s really (like really really really) important to acknowledge the systemic oppression people of colour have been and are subjected to - the majority of it enforced by and very rarely experienced by white people.
In one way I totally agree with what Telaryn brought up about racism being sort of an umbrella term in modern times encompassing mistreatment based on skin colour, ethnicity, and nationality, but at the same time a lot of white folks (read alt righters) have shot themselves in the foot with the whole reverse racism card.
