Nobody has ever said you need to roleplay every day, 24 hours, 7 days a week. Take as much breaks as you want. Many roleplayers do so in the evening as a way to relax a bit.
Same thing with the whole “right way to roleplay”. Many people have different views on that, I do as well. But there is mostly still a few common things a majority generally agrees is acceptable. That doesn’t mean it can be forced on those who think otherwise, because it physically can’t. But people can choose to simply just not roleplay with them, which is often what happens.
The PCU is no difference. It’s a community of guilds that share some guidelines and rules regarding rp and host events together. They are open to happily roleplay with anyone else outside of said community and does so frequently, but if someone doesn’t like them they are just as open to just let them be.
If a person can’t handle that another roleplaying community exists on the same server, that’s on them honestly. If all the people that constantly spammed /yells about the PCU or who runs around with “hate the pcu” etc in their trp3 would just go about on their own without bringing up drama, then I can assure you that there would be no issues. It is also far more disruptive to roleplay.
And for reference, I’m not in the PCU but I’ve roleplayed with various members alot and been at several events, always had a nice experience.
Mistakes happen so no worries, but yeah they don’t. It’s literally just a tag for a community that shares some rules and guidelines.
Many individual members are however annoyed at people who come to Argent Dawn with no desire to ever roleplay(usually by stating this, along with an open disdain for it) and will call that out.
It’s these people that are usually referred to as “OOCers”.
Otherwise, even if you just roleplay 5 minutes one night once a month, basically everyone thinks that is fine and fair enough. You do you really as long as it’s within the rules of Blizzards policies.
