Hi i did a topic befor SL about the problems with low populated servers and nothing have happends sins. and many answers was they have to much to do with the new expansion or that we should transfer to other servers.
well we still want to stay but we hope they will connect us like they did 8 years ago, but if thats to much work why dont they give ppl free transfer to the low populations server so they have a chanse to survive
You will pay to move or continue with the pain of being on a low population server, Blizzard has plenty of nonsensical issues to create before your issue gets heard.
Transfer isnt a option for many players on our server they stay to the bitter end and then stop playing , many of us have been here sins the guild started 2005 and we have a good contact with the other guilds and they say the same… when the server dies its the end.
Blizzard will do what they’ve been doing for 8+ years: not addressing the issue.
Sorry, but if you don’t like your server, it is evident that Blizzard thinks this is your problem. Pay to move, or reroll elsewhere - those are your choices.
They have not made any effort towards server merges since early BfA I think? And they didn’t bother checking the unofficial languages, thus merging various realms that couldn’t talk to each other. Rather than spend the manpower to actually understand what they did wrong, they have now stopped trying again, probably forever.
Don’t shoot the messenger. I just think the OP should know how things are
I feel that Blizz will introduce full cross faction guilds etc first before looking at lower pop servers again. It’ll make the server feel fuller even if slightly but not a complete solution.
I am 1 of 2 people on our server most nights - SWC - Blizzard spending more of their thinking time deleting Females & our t its than deleting or merging dead servers
I agree, there are definitely too many realms compared to the number of players.
They’ve tried all sorts over the years from cross realm sharding to connections but none of it really works when so much is still tied to our realm choice.
I moved myself off dead realms and over time I based myself on the two busiest ones for Horde and Alliance. Nothing will ever make me move off them.
The latest AH change will benefit quieter realms, or it may make botting even more lucrative, we will see what happens.
It was a huge step when Blizz finally recognised dead realm existed the first time round before they started with connections. There were rumours of technical issues with realm connections but we’ve had no official explanation. The second time they did merges there was no announced plan, they started then stopped abruptly without a word from Blizz.
I heard it was both the server issues they suffered. Quite a few videos of peoplw with half their characters deleted came onto youtube.
Also, the last 2 merges they tried saw huge flaming against. Because the server they tried to put in was apprantly a server on the english lists but primarily used by greek players.
I think the fact players uprised alot against several merges prolly threw a spanner in the works as theyre just blindly trying to put servers tpgether and last minute csncelling due to player uproar.
