For me it is right now the Grimoire of Shadowlands and World of Warcraft: Folk & Fairy Tales of Azeroth.
I feel like Blizzard is better at writing this stuff when the world building isn’t concerned. I was very greatly entertained. Tell me what you are reading among the countless Warcraft books right now.
I haven’t read a single Warcraft book. In my eyes they are just there to establish canon and retcon a bunch of stuff from the games. It doesn’t really provide an additional story in that regard.
Do you really think anyone reads those? We just want good lore ingame. I don’t care if there’s some magnum opus lying around in bookstores. If the ingame lore is trash - which it is - then I’m not interested.
I’ve read 3 so far, Rise of the Horde, Beyond the Dark Portal and Lord of the Clans. I’m not reading any right now but I plan to read Illidan, The Shattering and War Crimes. These are all good books imo.
I’ve read almost all Wacraft books, and believe War of the Ancients trilogy by Knaak so far are the best books of Warcraft. He catch game characters so well.
