Exalted gear is trash as they didn’t even bother to update it on top of horde just pulling Vand with all the adds and winning every single time.
If it wasn’t for the best food in the game I wouldn’t even bother. Thank F its only honored.

you save 90g by getting the AV mount.
the rewards are pretty good pre-bis options as well.
you’re not supposed to be able to skip MC gearing through AV if that was the impression you got.
AV is literally a prebis gearing option, and at exalted you might get a nice item along with the mount that can be used up until maybe BWL, should you not find a better piece in MC.

I will get quickly geared doing MC than grinding AV till exalted I’m afraid
Thus why it’s called “Pre-BiS” it’s something you should be done with by the time the raid is out.
Managed to do AV exalted in a week. 1-2 hours every day. Most games are won under 10 minutes (horde, wild growth). I am far away from being a parser, so ye, it was doable before MC release to get some pre-bis, but I bought only Lobotomizer.
Exalted gear is trash? For some classes exalted gear is bis for the whole of p1. People also do it for honour to rank.
Point of AV is to have fun in a massive instanced PvP format.

These things don’t really go together.
If people did PvP ”For fun” then WSG & AB que would not be completely empty.
already exalted with 2 char , it goes super fast and the best loot is probably the cheaper 100% mount
